Sacramento St
Crowded on weekends. Easy to find and good spot to take photos. Only appreciated by Tourist or family/friends visiting the Bay Area.
OK I am partial. I live here, but the views are astonishing!! I have seen stunning views all over the US and Europe and few rival the views of San Francisco from the highest point in the county. Yes, it can be (and probably should be) a tourist mecca, but it rarely gets too overcrowded. Parking at the top can be a challenge and parking along the road up is not permitted. (And should be avoided due to occasional break ins, especially in the evening.) It is one of the Bay Areas most beloved sights and a must see for any tourist who has never been here. 20 minutes and a few photos and you are done.
What I did and highly encourage if you don't want to drive or have a car just take the Bart to 24th and Mission. Get out of the station and just walk East on 24th Street all the way down. You'll have to take a few twists and turns to get to the actual Twin Peaks location, but the walk on 24th Street from Mission is filled with tons of little shops, boutique shops, and some cool coffee shops. Overall just a beautiful walk and plus you get to walk through Noe Valley. Once you get to the end of 24th, you'll have a nice view and as you walk up you'll continue to have beautiful view after beautiful view. Go in the afternoon, walk through the town and take your time then hit Twin Peaks for the sunset as it truly is as magical as everyone says. Walk down after sunset and catch a bus back into town or just walk back to 24th and Mission Bart station. Pretty easy with a nice walk, great view, and a chance to see a part of Noe Valley and Twin Peaks.
Well, we thought we'd be athletic and hike up to Twin Peaks. Gak. We called for an Uber ride after 15 minutes. The peaks, being the highest point in the area, provide an extraordinary panoramic view of San Fran and the surrounding area. Go see!
We went here near dusk, and it was freezing. Tip: dont forget your jacket. The view of San Francisco is amazing from here, so dont miss it. Parking can be tight but visitors dont linger too long, so it is not that difficult to find a spot.
If you want get a great view of the San Francisco city and other satellite cities around it, there is no place better than this. The view from the top of the peak is spectacular. You get almost 180 degree view of the surroundings. It is surely a place recommended not to miss when you are in San Francisco.
Twin Peaks is located in the city, so you can do the visit in relatively short time. The views are stunning. You can go by car the whole way up but I noticed some visitors taking a hiking tour from half way.
