Of course if we all had a house here like Marcos did it would be impressive to wake up to this wonderful sight each morning, the banks of the lake quickly rise up so it gives you another feel all together.
Ilicos Norte and Sur have a surprising number of tourist attractions. We saw Paoay Lake on two separate fine, hot days. It was serene and attractive with blue waters. The lake is a fitting backdrop to the Marcos' former Presidential Palace that attracts many Filipino visitors along with a growing number of foreigners.
Have been told, many efforts were exerted but this lake remained unfathomable. This is the lake that provides the view for the Malacanang of the north. Cool, pristine, and beautiful. A must see.
Was very fortunate to get to see the lake at Dawn. We traveled the whole night and arrived in Paoay at around 5 am and we were able to catch this awesome sight of the lake at dawn. There is a public view deck that you can just use to take your photo.
I always hunt lakes for i see them as a mystery for me. And Paoay Lake is one of them. Naturally it was an effect of a wind movement from the sea against the roaring earth and the thundering river that turned into lake. There are legends behind this beautiful lake, but what i love most is the fact that it provides livelihood to the locals in here (tilapia and agriculture). My experience with this lake was so serene since I went here in a very calm sunny afternoon. So no strong winds coming from the sea or it doesn't have any tourists or visitors that compete my solemn experience with the lake. I also love how the local government maintained it's cleanliness and orderliness of the surroundings. Truly a worthwhile experience.
i love its look and the feeling it emanates. I just hope they would not offer any water activity to preserve the lake.
This lake is very visible and adds beauty as one view from the balcony of the Marcos mansion.Nice natural setting.
if i have a dream house then paoay lake would be the perfect ambiance. it's clean, fresh air, natural, green. a great place for relaxation of the mind, it's one of a kind :)
Clean, fresh air and very serene. I love the lake it matches the beauty of the house itself. It compliment each other. Place was well taken care of and paying is worth it. The house shows how rich people live earlier days. A must see place!!!!!!!!
The place is quite refreshing with wind blowing in your face. The place is so serene especially when there's not much people around. It's a good place for meditating.
I guess this is the lake that made Paoay famous.Folklores going around about this lake is that it was oncea land inhabited by materialistic people that earned the ire of gods....and sunken the village leaving the lake. The lake is so full of serenity that made it simply beautiful !
On our way to the Malacanang of the north (a Marcos mansion), we had a stop-over at the lake. The view is very nice, you can actually see the mansion from where we stopped. I also noticed some small boats by the shore. I believe if you stay at a hotel by the lake they offer some water sports/activities.
