Floating Market is truly an exciting destination to travel to the Mekong Delta. This is the first time I went to the floating market. We're really impressed me and I enjoyed it. I have bought a piece of fruit. They are very fresh and tasty. Floating Market selling a lot of stuff from fruit, food, drinks .... everything is always best. We really liked it .. I'll be back in next time.

In April we went on a two day, one night tour to the Mekong Delta with our tour guide, Khoi Nguyen of Waterbuffalo Tours. We had an absolutely wonderful time. Khoi arranged everything in thoughtful ways, starting from the airconditioned car with a relaxed but careful driver whom he had trained to not use the horn constantly. As we were brand new to Vietnam, we had not realised the significance of this until later in our trip when we were exposed to various reckless styles of driving! The Can Duoc market was one of the first stops we made. We followed Khoi down the narrow aisles of the market not knowing what we might encounter exactly, but the people in the market were very friendly and we were encouraged by Khoi to take whatever photos we liked. The market was filled with exotic smells and sights. We loved seeing the 80 year old woman perched up high in her hammock, collecting the money for her stall, plus many other interesting people. Khoi purchased some exotic fruit for us to try (dragon fruit I think). This market has stood out in my memory as being representative of the wonderful people and sights to be experienced in Vietnam. And the Mekong is a very scenic part of Vietnam.
