A very informative helper at the temple was only to pleased to spend his time telling us about the temple. He also produced an information pamflet on the temple and deity. We were also fortunate to visit during the Chinese New Year festival when the temple was extensively decorated for the occasion.
This is the spiritual soul of the city with the ancient Chinese guardian idols - there is no nonsense here, just regular people coming to do their regular workship but you can see this has been going on for years. Don't go for a hurried tourist experience but to stay and observe.
A lovely temple.Bright, colourful and Impressive. Worth a slow wander around with lots of photo opportunities.
very beautiful and well maintain temple. is located near hilton hotel and near river. come here to have pray.
This temple is the oldest Chinese temple in Kuching. It is well maintained and when we visited was being attended by a number of faithful worshipping. It is very attractive and you are not made to feel like you are intruding - worth the visit.
As a landmark at the road junction to the waterfront promenade this temple is hard to miss. Compare to the more grand Chinese temples this is certainly small and not as lavishly furnished, but it's nice to see locals still coming here with offers and giving their prayers. A living legacy.
The temple only located beside the road, a "must visit" place for tourist in Kuching. It's over 100 years but keep well, it might be small but it's the heart of Kuching.
I have always love to visit temples during my travel. Its their unique culture and traditions that amaze me. I have never fail to visit this temple if I stay in Harbour View Hotel which is just across the street.Just a take walk around or you may wanna sit on the bench and just observe.
this temple is the oldest in sarawak and if you are in kuching give this place a visit. It might be small but it sure gets a lot of visitors.
It looks majestic from across the road and even more beautiful inside. It's like any other temples, perhaps a little smaller but the design and colors are equally vibrant and gorgeous. Worshippers welcomed us visitors and it's a captivating sight, seeing people pray and I felt peaceful. Tua Pek Kong is a must visit.
Always an enjoyable experience of a charming temple at a great location. Even better during a Taoist festival or Chinese New Year
