Golf course does not have any spectacular views like some on the island. The playing conditions were however very good (and that's what really counts). Course is not very long but does have its challenges. Greens are mostly elevated and well protected.Sand traps are soft (Except waste bunkers) but very few have rakes !Pick-up service from hotel was very good, on course food was minimal in food cart (only very basic sandwiches) but staff drives by frequently and is very friendly.Pro-shop service was good and efficientDriving range is full size and in good shape also and includes a chipping and putting green, service was very good there too.Extra round was only 80 $ when staying at Iberostar, cart included (which is a lot cheaper than other courses on island), plus you get a 25 $ coupon (at least for Iberostar Grand guests) applicable if you spend more than 100 $.Felt good to play golf in March !

Pros: excellent guest service of picking up/dropping off guests from their respective resort, customer service oriented, lovely staff, well manicured golf course however several of the cacti were noticeably dead & should've removed & replaced.Cons: confusion at start with 3 groups getting ready to go out to First Tee but lack of clear direction from starter & ensuring adequate space between groups to ensure no waiting on Tee blocks or golfers hitting their balls too close to our group,expensive course to play - $140 U.S - not what I expected based on what I had researched on line prior to trip & based on other golf courses I have played elsewhere, this course really didn't warrant that exorbitant rate. Guests of iberostar played for 1/2 of what I paid which is what I expected to pay.

Course very nice and fair. I am roughly a 14 handicap and played first nine from the blue and back from the white and it was good (6100 yards). The fairways and greens are in excellent shape. I saw many staff working on the property and the service was excellent.Great day and great fun + met nice people.

The woman who sets up tee times is nice and helpful. My husband and son did the twilight golf two days. They enjoyed it...they sent a transfer to pick you up.

Loved that they let the two young men golf and let me ride in the cart with my son. I sort of functioned as their caddy.

So impressed with the condition of the course. Friendly staff! We were able to rent clubs and went golfing at twilight rates. Clubs were new and professional brands. Want to come back!

The course could have been in better shape, but was fun to play in the warmth and sunshine. Bring your dollars though, because it is not cheap. Cheaper to play in the afternoon.

Booked via the concierge at the Excellence resort. All club, transportation and golf was included for a very reasonable fee. Course was beautiful and greens were perfect.

Played 5 rounds over two weeks during Christmas and New Year's weeks. This is a fun course and a good challenge for both high and low handicappers. I played from the White tees, my wife from the Red. Both produce course lengths similar to what we play at home. Course was in great shape and staff was wonderful. Grendy from the Starter's crew took good care of us and always had our clubs (we brought our own and stored them at the club) ready when we came out of the Pro Shop.Compared to the greens at our home course, we found these to be very slow and with lots of grain. Took a few rounds to get the feel.Beverage cart came by at least once per nine holes and sometimes twice. Always grabbed two bottles of water each time. Cart has an ice-filled cooler attached.First two rounds were completed in under three hours each. Third and fourth had more people on course and took closer to 4 hours (we played at 10 AM for all our rounds). Final round was slow for the first nine holes (we started on 10) but when people in front of us finished at 18, our last 9 holes had no one in front of us and we finished in an hour and 10 minutes.Four rounds of golf were included with our room at Iberostar Grand, and the extra round cost $49 for each of us. A super deal and worth bringing our clubs. If we had to pay full rate as others do from non Iberostar resorts, don't know if I would have bothered with clubs and playing.

Course was in good shape. Service was good on the course from the beer cart. Golf prices could be cheaper.

Just played this course for this first time this week. It was a wonderful experience! Course is in great shape and the staff was very friendly. The course is beautiful and plays very fairly. We had an early tee time and still found the pace fairly slow. That, however, is not a complaint. You are in paradise, so just enjoy and make the most of it. My wife and I caught the group in front of us on the front nine, a very nice couple from Switzerland. They invited us to join them. We played the rest of the round together and got along famously. We ended up hanging out with them the rest of the week at the hotel. We had a fun round and made new lifelong friends from around the world. Isn't that what golf is supposed to be about? We stayed at Iberostar Grand Bavaro and the round was included with our stay. All other prices were extremely reasonable. Truly enjoyed the beautiful course and people.

As a non-golfer, I accompanied my boyfriend around this lovely course and acquired a few caddying skills. He was impressed with the course; the trip was arranged by our concierge at a neighbouring hotel and taxis provided there and back on our behalf.Rental of golf clubs was reasonably priced and the staff were very helpful, refreshments and alcoholic beverages provided with an option of bogof meal/snack at the clubhouse when round was finished.Hotel and grounds very picturesque, great morning out.

Great golf course in an excellent location. Price is about the same as other courses in the area. Greens and fairways are lush.

Dear Madam,It is unfortunate to hear that you found our course too expensive, even when staying at one of our Iberostar hotels which provides you with a preferred rate. We understand that there are a lot of courses in other parts of the world which cost less, as there certainly are also places where it costs more. In the case of our course it is actually one of the less expensive ones in this country, as we even include a lot of extra services like the beverage cart and pick up from the hotels in the area. Therefore, we unfortunately can only provide discounts when playing multiple rounds.The offer still stands, that if you do decide in giving us another try in the future, as it would a pleasure to have you back on our fine course!Regards,Yannick

Played two rounds this week. Beautiful course, very well maintained, but both rounds were terribly SLOW. They let you play by yourselves and tee off when you like. But both rounds we were waiting on every shot. We couldn't play through bc it was backed up for many holes (no marshalls on course to keep play moving). No fun. Also, make sure you wear a collared shirt, even if a female or if you are just riding in the cart. Sandwiches and drinks on course were nice. Golf early bc gets hot.
