Easy to access, state of the art facilities, surrounded by top attractions and nearby old San Juan, Condado, shopping, dining and airport.
Our group attended a volleyball tournament in late February. There were limited food choices available and those were attended only part of the time the action was taking place. We would have appreciated for chairs to use as many people (some elderly) were required to stand for long periods.
We walked the extensive grounds and enjoyed the immaculate landscaping. Excellent photo Ops everywhere. The entire structure was closed. We decoded to come back during the evening to take pictures of the building at night when it's all lite up. When we did it was not lite up. ??? We couldn't find out anywhere online or via locals any sort of schedule. Lol. Nobody knew.... anyhow during a venue or concert we got lucky and the building was open/operational and the lights were on. The lights change colors and provided great pictures of the amazing architecture.
New and modern with all the amenities needed to hold a first class conference. Easy to get around and it does not make you walk for countless miles.
I attended a show at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in January and found it acceptable mostly because it was located in a warm weather destination. The facility itself is pretty basic and something as critical as wifi service was poor and would often drop out which made conducting business difficult. There is a snack bar on the premises which offered a very limited menu at high prices. There is a Sheraton Hotel across the street which is a better choice of places to go during breaks. All in all, just a so so experience.
Everything under one cover..nicely laid out, efficient, private rooms for meetings..great floor space and well kept.
The facility itself was very nice- however the wifi was not consistent throughout the day which seems like an important feature for any conference or convention center. They should improve that!
Great performance by Skrilex and ZEDD. My kids got me motivated to go with them to experience the most electric holiday in PR
Came here for electric holiday to see Tiesto and Icona Pop. Easy to get to and very safe. The design was very nice and most people spoke English.
An architecturally significant part of San Juan. Impossible to miss with its jutting glass prow. This makes for a lovely three story interior lobby and atrium. The facility is one of the easiest to use and navigate that I have used.
Attended the National Women's Studies Assn conference in the San Juan, PR convention center and thought it was an excellent venue. Close proximity to Old San Juan, just get a taxi right outside the front doors. Easy walk across the street to the Sheraton convention center hotel. all the rooms were easy to access and bathrooms were plentiful. There's a coffee shop on the second floor and a lunch counter on the main level with excellent local fare. Third floor has the exhibit hall. Overall a beautiful and comfortable facility.
I arrived and followed first signs to parking - gates were all locked - had to drive up to front of convention center and ask them where to park; there was very limited food available and they were totally unprepared to crowds of people wanting lunch.
This is a modern beautiful building. The only disadvantage, I find, is that the air conditioning is so cold that makes me shiver, every time I visit it. There's a Sheraton Hotel in the area separate from the main venue. It has a casino and a few good restaurants.
The place is impressive! Beautiful and serene. It really depends on what you come for. I have been to a car show, a hi-fi gear show, a medical convention, several sports tournaments, and the atmosphere is way different depending on what it is.
it just so happened a company called Vemma was launching in Puerto Rico and we attended. What a great convention center and a great kick off for Vemma...loved both of them!
