在El Morro 城堡的靠海侧,俯视加勒比海,风景绝美,按罗马天主教风格建造的老墓地,白色为主,棺材都在地上,还有一座教堂在旁边

The mass amounts of marble carved with extreme detail! Some may think morbid but I thought it was peaceful and has a lot of history.

This spectacular cemetery is simply gorgeous. We went on a sunny afternoon and glistening in sunshine it looked absolutely breath taking.Just beneath the El Morro fort.A must visit on your trip to Old San Juan!

This old and important cemetery is a must see for visitors to Old San Juan. It is situated on a hillside near the ruins of an old Fort, a spacious lawn and the awesome sea as a backdrop.Beautiful and bright...and not the least bit sombre. A place to celebrate life, memories and the elements of air, water and stone.

Ensure you walk down the curved street to go visit the cemetery. As you approach Castillo del Morro from the small plaza at the base, take the downward street to your right, walk through the very short tunnel, and you walk right into the cemetery. Breathtaking views.

You can't ask for a more beautiful setting for a cemetery. It is right next to El Morrow fort and by the Sea. You can walk down in there and check out the gravesites and great views of the fort and the sea

This cemetery is beautiful, in a bit of a haunting way. I don't mean haunted, just that one can really feel the history there. The architecture is stunning and at contrast with the disrepair of some of the tombs. Very worth a visit.

The mausoleum is reserved for the most important citizens. The view is spectacular since the sight is just on the edge of the ocean. The waves breaking on the rocks make this a very peaceful resting place.

For location, you would be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful setting for a cemetery. The statuary and tomb stones carry so much history. It's a short walk from El Morro...but worth it.

Never have I seen such a beautiful cemetery, words don't really do it justice. We had no idea this cemetery was here, we saw it from the fort at first and had to go and see it properly. It is truly beautiful.

The San Juan Cemetery was inaugurated in 1814. A path in front of the Quincentennial Plaza (Plaza Quintocentenario) leads down into the cemetery grounds. The small neoclassical portico that serves as an entrance imitates the facade of other parishes characteristic to the island. Named after Santa María Magdalena de Pazzis, a neoclassical chapel bearing her name was also built here around 1860. This circular red-domed chapel, inspired by Bramante’s Rotonda in Rome, stands out amongst the numerous graves. The picturesque burial grounds are adorned with exquisite Genevan marbles and sculptures. These enhance the final resting place of important political and literary figures such as: Harvard-educated social reformer, Pedro Albizu Campos, who fought against colonialism; José Celso Barbosa, known as the father of the “Statehood for Puerto Rico” movement; and renowned poet and patriot, José de Diego, among others.
