Very welcoming church, excellent Priest that does a lot for the community. Arrive early and you will be treated by the children singing.
Just the greatest feeling to be here, and a perfect place to thank God for this wonderful country and town.
I was lucky that I was staying across the street at Sandy Haven, so I ran across and I made mass. The place was packed, so if you need a seat (because of physical limitations) go there early. I stood and was fine. Very cute church with a welcoming priest.
Very friendly. Awesome cultural experience for Sunday Mass. A great way to start your week in paradise.
Awesome little catholic church on Negril 7 mile beach. Father Bok and Father Blaine run this church thru the Franciscian's in Cincinnati, OHIO. We always enjoy coming here during our vacation as its a highlite of our trip. Great local people come here and Father Bok always greets the crowd and gets to know everyone. People from all over the world go to service here.
One of the highlights of our weeklong trip - attended two Sunday's. Loved the little children singing before Mass along with the energy and warm welcome. Father's homilies were thought provoking and spoke to the heart as well as the head.
Fr. Jim leads this church and his parishioners and the result is a truly inspiring experience as he celebrates Mass each Sunday @ 10am. The children's music, the friendliness of the people, the homily, the welcoming nature of Fr. Jim, all provide for a very memorable experience. Fr. Jim also leads St. Anthony's Kitchen where breakfasts are provided to children and hot lunch to adults and thus if you looking beyond the beach for a memorable experience, the chance to volunteer for a couple of hours to assist the less fortunate of Negril is available. Just ask Fr. Jim.
Do not miss a chance to stop by Sunday at 10 AM. Be prepared to sing and sway as never before while attending mass. The Spirit is indeed moving in this land. Tom and Marilyn BrownConesus NY
My husband and I took our kids ages 7 and 9. We were greeted by the priest who was from Ohio. He was friendly and welcoming. The church is open and airy with breezes blowing through the shutters. It was simple and beautiful. The children's choir sang and our kids were invited up front and given tambourines to play along with the other kids. The sermon offered something for everyone, kids and adults. Travelers from many countries were there and the priest named all of the countries and welcomed everyone. There was a special blessing for those with birthdays, anniversaries, or couples who just got married. Communion was offered as well. A great experience for all of us!
The priest went to greet and meet each person he didn't know. Loved seeing all the children helping our and participating in the mass. It was very welcoming.
Father really welcomes you! It doesn't feel like you are at church! Good homilist and is tickled pink that they are on Trip Advisor!
Attending church here on Sunday's at 10 am is a delight! Local kids and all visiting kids are invited to sing and play music before mass starts. Father Jim welcomes every visitor, remembers those who came here in previous years and gives the best homilies that are hard to forget!
Quaint small church, great priest and homily, friendly congregation. Priest is an American who is also very Jamaican. Liked the way he mixed Christian ideas with what was relevant in Jamaica and the world....really down to earth. Also, not too long, but still felt like you had gone to mass to worship. Priest also shook hands with everyone and tried his best to speak with all the persons visiting. Church is near most of the hotels and easy to get to.
We walked by and peeked in the windows. The doors were locked so we could not enter so we prayed outside the windows. We could see in and it looks like a cute local community church. We left on Sunday and were unable to attend service, maybe next year perhaps.
I attended a masss in this little church on New Years Day,so glad there was a mass since no one in Negril had any info about the schedule
