This was a day we will never forget. Rented a jeep and headed out on our own. This is not recommended for the faint of heart. This is off road adventuring on steroids. Take it slow and watch where you are going and you will be fine. The natural pool is beauty beyond comparison. The angry ways crashing against the rocks and spraying so high into the air was amazing to watch. Take a tour if you must but don't miss exploring the other side of the island while in Aruba. We spent more days over there than on the calm resort side.

We took the Jeep tour to the natural pool, natural bridges, gold mill ruins and church. This was a great experience viewing the natural environment. Chico and Roland were awesome tour guides. Very entertaining and informative with the history of Aruba.

We came here by ATV. A breathtaking adventure to say the least. Be prepared for lots of stairs. Lots !!! This is not for the out of shape. We didn't go into the Natural Pool after hiking down the steps. It looked slippery and you have to climb huge rocks to enter. There was a line waiting to enter.

We took a half day trip to the Natural Pool including other sites. Natural Pool and the coast was beautiful. A little disappointing in that water was too rough to partake in a swim, but what a great tour with DePalm Island. They added on additional sites when Pool was too rough for swimming. Roland and the whole DePalm Island team were upbeat, amusing and knowledgeable.

This is a beautiful spot on the East side of the island. If it is a rough/heavy sea swell day forget swimming in the pool. Cars can not get here. Jeep rental companies will tell you don't try to get there with the jeep. If you go down the hill and get stuck they WILL NOT come get you out. Best way there is by dirt bike rental and you need to know how to ride!!Park the jeep and walk down and have fun coming back up.

The natural pool is a smooth rock formation naturally formed by waves overflowing into a cavern. Its a great place for snorkeling and swimming, also cliff diving. However the rocks are covered with algae and very smooth, so its very dangerous to walk around. Not recommended to go alone to it, one slip could be fatal. Otherwise, if you are smart, and careful, this is a wonderful attraction and very interesting to see.

steep and very rocky. Not everyone would be able to climb over rocks to get into the pool. But a beautiful site in the National Park. Only accessible with 4x4 vehicle.

A hard to get to place, you will need ATVs or an SUV made for off-roading. Very bumpy ride, not good for people who have bad spines or hips. Then there is a long stair case, over 80 steps made from random boulders, and a little walk on a rocky beach to the natural pool. You will want water shoes with good grip on the bottom. Don't go alone, incase you get injured. Strong waves crash along rock perimeter, injury possible if climbing to the higher, smaller pool.

We had a great time going there, fun place to swim (loved it when the water gushed in from big waves) and beautiful scenery. Bring a lunch, there is a covered area and don't forget water, it's the desert until you get there. Tours seem expensive, just get a jeep and go, way cheaper If two or more and very easy if you don't mind the bumpy ride, a little tonka fun!

We were a family of eight visiting for one day from a ship's stop. We were supposed to have two jeeps, but were surprised with a bait and switch routine at the port. Nevertheless, we made our way to the park. We drove as far in as we felt that we could due to the terrain and walked the rest of the way in. If you end up doing a bit of hike, good shoes will be important. If you jeep, 4x4 or ATV in, you can go almost all the way in. Regardless, bring water and maybe a snack if you are planning on staying a while. The road in and the walk was beautiful. We took many photos and admired the wildlife, the ocean and the terrain. The pool itself was incredible. Water shoes are a good idea, flip flops are not. Getting in can be tricky for the very young and the not sure footed. You need to be a good swimmer. Photo ops are abundant and if you are sitting on the rocks, be careful, you will get wet! The walk back - much more difficult. We did not admire the scenery and marvel at the wonders of nature. Every step was more difficult than the last. Much of it was uphill and it was a lot hotter than when we arrived. Next time, jeeps for sure. Still glad we went and would do it again, no problem. We drove the island to the beach, as everyone says the beaches are the best, but retrospectively, I wish we had gone to the other side of the park and done more exploring over there.

Took DePalm 4 hour tour. Roland was our driver, who made it even better. Great driver and made us feel safe. Very rocky road to the pool- sometimes very scary. You walk 99 rock steps down to pool- you must wear shoes/sneakers with great traction. Then you slide into the natural pool- terrific.Sightseeing return to hotel includes California Lighthouse and church.Highly recommend with our man Roland, who was the lead driver.

Our family decided to walk from the parking area of the national park. We started out on our journey and realized that there was absolutely no shelter at all. It is very rocky terrain with just scrub and cacti. We were only walking for a few minutes when a park ranger offered to pick us up and take us to the natural pool. His name is Rambo and he just made our day. The walk would have taken hours in the sun and the sometimes powerful rain showers. Rambo put us in the back of his truck for the most bumpy ride of our life. There isn't a road. Rambo stopped at key places for us to take photos. The best part was the Rambo took us swimming when the natural pool was closed because it was way too rough. We were very brave and he swam with each of us to make sure that we got across the rocks and waves to the natural pool. The waves were so high and so scary. The tide was coming in and the waves crashing actually got to be scary. So, we swam back to the rocks with Rambo helping each of us. We took great photos and then when on the bumpy ride back. I would not suggest walking and I would not suggest swimming without a guide. The natural pool is beautiful and worth the trip.

I found there isn't that much to do for an adventure seeker in Aruba. There were some cool wreck dives but I'm usually looking for a lot of new experiences. But the natural pool was actually pleasant. I would say it is best to try to go when it's not too crowded if there is anyway to plan that. We went with De Palm Tours with a group of about 16. When we first got there the pool had just a few tourist who had come in their own jeeps (The person at our hotel had told us this wasn't an option, we were a little disappointed to learn that we could have gone out on our own like we had wanted). But after about 15 minutes a couple other tour groups showed up and it was very crowded and kind of spoiled the atmosphere. The water is pretty clear and makes for some good underwater photos since there is more light than when you are diving deep. There are some fish and there are crabs on the rocks. Some of the tourist were scared of the crabs, which I don't get because they just run away. The rocks are very jagged and a little scary to walk on but it was nice to get up and get a view. On one side the waves come crashing over which was cool to see. Our tour made us wear life jackets, which we didn't really need and noticed no one else was wearing them, I think they should be optional. The drive out is very very bumpy but pretty cool. I was really surprised at the landscape, it was as if Arizona really did have ocean front property, lots of desert red rocks and dirt with a ton of cactus. Very stunning views though. Our tour also took us to the natural bridge, which was nice to see and a surprise since our person that booked the trip didn't mention we would be going there. I would recommend checking that area out also if you are venturing on your own, the stacked rocks and little beaches were really cool. We also saw the chapel. I feel like we were able to see the whole north side in a reasonable amount of time.

You won't get here in anything but a 4x4. We visited on a tour. Glad we did. Next time we may rent 4wheelers and go since we know how to get there now and what to expect. Glad we did it on a tour though for our first time. Super rough terrain. It is awesome though to swim here! The water is so rough all around you and huge waves crash into the pool. (They say some days you cannot swim here that the water is too rough.). If you are an adventurer do not miss this gem.

so I know this will come as shock to many. Aruba is known for it's year-long summer, which is true. however a little wind can turn this absolutely awesome attraction into just another un-swimable part of the ocean. I took the jeep tour there. as we are leaving the resort, there was a little breeze in the air. again, the weather was just awesome. apparently this little breeze translates into high waves in this area. it was still beautiful scenery but from distance only. we couldn't get into the water
