A must see in the fall (autumn)! Bring a picnic lunch, a lot of water and enjoy walking in the area ... great for everyone!

Beautiful in Fall. walking trails are rough. Wheelchair access is limited. They spoiled the view when they built the tourist thing. Now you have to walk quite a way to get the view over the river. Fine if you are fit and agile but only room for one wheelchair at a time on accessible view point.

If you are going, make sure you plan your trip in the Fall. The colours of fall are in full bloom and the sites are breath takingly beautiful. Many photographers trek up to the Falls for family photos and with good reason.

Every fall and spring I visit with my family. When there is no snow there are trails from the lookouts to the bridge over the falls. The terrain is a little rough so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has trouble with uneven ground and can be a bit of a long journey for the little ones. You can walk right up to the falls and touch the water. In the fall the changing leafs make it a natural wonder, in the spring the thaw swells the falls into a roaring waterfall. The trail could use some fresh markers, but is easy to follow.I recommend to any one, passing through

Drove out to Onaping Falls one afternoon -- just an amazingly beautiful location. Set up for easy access (including wheelchair accessible) on two separate paths. Good parking. A definite must-see when in Sudbury area

This a superb location at anytime of the year to bring your family for an outing. Many view the superb scenery of the surrounding forest and falls with binoculars. Others prefer to walk along the many trails leading to a small piedestrian bridge crossing the gorge. The best time of the year to view this natural phenomenon is in the fall season, At that time the many maple trees intermixed with the green pine trees, provide a kaledoiscope of colours leaving many mouth agape. There are many locations to either stop and rest or even enjoy a picnic. In addition there is a nature trail which spands aproximately five kilometers. It is a fairly challenging trek, but Worth the effort. For sure this is a place which you will remember. Its beauty will give you a sense of peace and wellbeing.

Waterfalls are very good to see, with good walking trails. Can see waterfalls from a few different angles.

beautiful waterfall with amazing sounding rapids that thunder along. A well kept path that leads up to a bridge and once across you can continue on a short hike. One hour and maybe a bit more and you can view a place where the group of seven artist canadian legend A.Y. Jackson painted.

You love nature or not, you must see. Beautiful in all seasons. fit for all ages and disability access. We visit every month. When the water current is strong you will enjoy walking and taking pictures, but in summer don't miss swimming near the falls start point. Be extra careful thou.

We visited the falls Thanksgiving long weekend and parked at the lot beside the road North of the A. Y. Jackson lookout. It was pretty busy and we followed lots of people up the hill and down to the bridge. The falls were impressive, lots of water when we were there. We went down to the edge of the river on the other side of the bridge to take some close-up pics (away from the trail, I guess, we only saw one marker). Too bad there is a bit of graffiti on the rocks, but it's not too noticeable. We drove up to the A. Y. Jackson lookout after to see the whole falls from a distance (and to use the washrooms). Wish we had more time to do the trails.

Scenery is amazing, great exercise, fun family outing enjoyed by all! Limited parking. Entrance that is closest to bridge should be better marked and easier to access for those who can't do the trails.

We love High Falls... you can stop in at the AJ Jackson Lookout and follow the deisgnated trails and have family picnic in the summer time. We stop at the bottom of the gravel hill just North of the AJ Jackson entrance and walk up the hill..closest to the bridge. when I was younger it was a 'rope' bridge' Kinda fun...kinda scary. Great place for family photos. Best time of year to go in in late September for Calvalcade of Colours. It is breathtaking. In the winter the gravel area is used for sliding. Anyone can go...lost of fun! Lots of walking.great for hiking.

Lots of parking, several trails and clean washrooms make for a pleasant stop if you are travelling along Hwy 144. There is also a large picnic shelter for lunch. One of the trails is wheelchair accessible. There is a longer trail which takes you over to the bridge above the waterfall. Great displays of various rocks found in the area, their use and composition. Also an old unit train carriage which was used in one of the old local mines. A pleasant stop.

We visited the Falls, the first weekend in August and the hike was awesome. This is an urban hike but a real hike going up and down rocks, the indications are somewhat lacking but anybody with good eyes will see the indications. I would not recommend for small children or elderly people with leg problems.
