The gardens are stunning but in the summer you'll also have tons of wedding couples taking photos there and it makes the whole experience seem more fairy tale like.
I love the greenery, the pretty patches of colours when flowers are in bloom, the undulating paths, the people of all ages enjoying the day out, the peacefulness of the gardens. The gift shop has tasteful pots , the snack bar is acceptable.
A good place to spend and hour or two - walking good scenery, watch out for the wedding parties taking photos during summer
We love Edwards Gardens. Love walking around and see all flowers. Love it on Saturdays to see weddings.
Roses, Roses, roses. My favorite flowers! Visit the Orchid society and the Horticultural library. Extensive trails and connections with the ravines system. Great for hiking!
A beautiful paradise to take one away from the BIG City pace and take one back to nature and apreciation of its beauty - either just viewing the flowers by the buildings or sitting in its park like setting or actually walking its trails. One never knows who might be there - new brides and family photo taking or elder enjoying time away from their residences enjoying fresh air or market goers on thursday's purchasing fresh vegs and fruit or families with young ones learning aboutb nature. This is gem within this large and busy City. A must for visitors.
Think of Edwards gardens as the starting point for a great nature walk during the nice Spring, Summer and Fall weather. Start in the more formal gardens at the North end and walk through parklands for as far as you will want to walk. There are groomed parks and gardens, woodlands, waterfalls, biking and walking trails. It's a favorite spot for wedding photos or nature photography. There is a snack facility near the parking lot.
The garden is a public garden, well maintained by the City of Toronto. The grounds are extensive and well manicured. There is a café, waterfall, bridge, wooded areas and it's next to the Toronto Botanical Garden which is also interesting. There is no charge to enter and as a result it can get quite busy on nice days. You cannot picnic in the garden and dogs are not allowed, nor is cycling. The helps maintain the slow, meandering pace and quiet atmosphere in the garden. It does tend to attract numerous wedding parties for pictures which can be intrusive but great for people watching
Lovely park - like setting with benches, water and tea restaurant. Wonderful in the Fall and a favourite with bridal couples.
Nice walk in the gardens, beautiful and informative. Pick up a sunny day out there, if you like photos, it could be a good place to go.
A great place to visit, with iits botanical garden, flowing stream, and well cared for flower beds under towering trees. Many benches to sit on. Well used by local residents for taking a stroll on a nice day. There is a coffee shop on the grounds and washroom facilities. The adjoining Wilket creek park is a natural woodland, with a paved walking/ bicycle path. Some picnic tables available. Ample parking.
The park os gorgest, but not pet friendly. I still suggest to visit it as it is so beautiful almost all year around.
This park is beautiful. So many different plants and flowers, a stream.....a lovely place for a romantic walk, a picnic, or some alone time.Sometimes you can see foxes, racoons, skunks
My husband and I got married on August 16 2014 and wanted to honour our parents (both couples had their wedding photos done at Edwards Gardens). It is an absolutely beautiful garden full of gorgeous lavender and many other plants. The green house is an added bonus and there are lots of places to rest on a warm summer day. Such a serene place. If you go on the weekend you are almost guaranteed to see blissfully happy couples on their wedding day posing for photos. Such a beautiful, calming place to be.
they rent out rooms for events and I was there for my grandmas birthday - I snuck out and did a bit of a walk around - quite pretty as plants go and a relaxing place
