cascades conservation area

Great spot , popular with hikers, runners and dog walkers. Best to go with someone who knows the trails at first. There are maps but it changes with the seasons and even though I walk it regularly, it always looks different. Options for shorter, longer hikes, hills , less hills etc. Short paved trail for wheelchairs as well. Remember where thriver is to keep yourself oriented.

Highly recommend this area to walk, hike, explore and sit by the rapids/river. Relaxing, and you can select easy loop, or harder/longer depending on your time and ability. Great for families too, and even swimming possibilities in summer. Make sure you pick up after your dog, and carry out your garbage!

The trails are wide and well-maintained, and there are nice views of the river. Better signage at trail junctions would be helpful. Make sure you bring along a map of the trail system as it is not always clear exactly where you are.

Just a small park with awesome falls. Very scenic and accessible. Reminded us of the waterfalls that we live near in Michigans western Upper Peninsula.

Finding the Cascades is a little challenging, Exit Highway 17 at Balsam Street and go north to the end of the road where you will find a parking area. Continue North on foot and you will reach the Cascades. You can also follow the River from Centennial Park, stay on the left side don't cross the bridge.This is a great place to take your dogs for a walk.

Para chegar ao Cascades é fácil, cerca de 11km de Thunder Bay. Tem local para estacionar o carro e pegar uma trilha bem simples para chegar a pequena cachoeira (existem 3 trilhas, a mais curta é a amarela, todas estão bem indicadas). Ou pode ir de bicicleta tb. A trilha não é tão boa para ir de bike, mas é possível sim. Otimo para passear tb com os cães. A pequena queda d'água conta com uma parte bem larga onde é possível nadar durante o verão.

um otimo lugar para banhar e tirar fotos com a familia, amigos ou irmaos da igreja, mas é bom ter preucauções com crianças.

Um dos lugares mais bonitos que ja visitei. 'E possivel se deliciar nas aguas durante o verao, e a apisagem 'e incrivel.
