Similar to the negative review "Total Rip Off" I purchased 2 experiences in Dec. 2011 direct from their website with payment through PayPal.I contacted them in the fall of 2012 and they were closed for the season and moved their operation to Alberta.I have contacted them via email and phoned numerous times (no one ever answers the phone just voice mail) to refund my money. No email response, no returned phone call.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL not a business that I would recommend to anyone. I have reported them to the BBB for unprofessional conduct.

They sold my wife a gift certificate (not even a group on deal), full price 1 flight deal...They sold certificate in December 2011, office was open so no reason to think they will be shut down in the winter time.Well when I tried to book the flight for my birthday within a year in December 2012, they were "shut down for the season"Next summer they moved operations from Vancouver to Calgary.

Heard from a friend about Flyzone and decided to check it out with my girlfriend. Phoned up and managed to book the 4 minute flight package for both of us the next day. Arrived and were greeted by a very friendly and helpful crew. Got suited up and had our 10 min pre-flight training class. There was a large group already flying so we got a chance to watch them for a few minutes before we started. Everyone in the previous group looked like they were really enjoying the experience. I flew first for two minutes while my girlfriend watched. It's definitely not as easy as the instructors make it look. By the time I took my second 2 minute flight I was really getting the hang of it thanks to the instructors constant coaching. My girlfriend seemed to catch on even faster than me. She loved it so much that she wanted to go again after our 4 minutes were up. What a blast.....pardon the pun. Seriously though, this experience was alot of fun. Since then we've both been back several times and it's always been just as much fun as the first time. Thx to the Flyzone gang for all the good times. Next step, skydiving.

These guys were promoting this fun through Groupon, which makes me think they want more people to know about what they offer. That's all fine, but getting new customers and then treating them like dirt: that's unclear to me, but anyway!I booked this through Groupon for couple of people, but apparently there was a miscommunication about dates. I'll tell you why... You know that when you call them during business hours your more likely to go to their voice mail 90% of the time? I hope they fixed that!Anyway, when I showed up they said: "No, you were supposed to come this day and you didn't, so now your vouchers are void". Because I drove 1.5 hours to get there I thought it would suck to go back without trying it. So I paid $200 for two + invalid vouchers which didn't come exactly cheap either.OK. Let me explain how this fun works. You have about 8 people doing per session which is about half hour. You have about 4 minutes in total that you will be in this tube. I assume this is what you're paying for, and for instructor's time. If couple of people don't show up, you still work with 6 people.Let's assume that the no-show was my mistake. Still, I would expect that I'll be paying something extra like a penalty for no-show, or perhaps get a discount, but no I had to pay full price: $200. So let me summarize few things for you before you decide you want to take your chance to fly for 4 minutes:- they can hardly be reached through phone. never pick up during business hours. you'll need to leave voice mail and they call you back!- if your unused vouchers are VOID/expired, they won't tell you this when you book a session. they tell you this when you arrive there. Also, they will not offer any discount.- very unprofessional service, I got the feeling that staff just "work" there and don't care about business ethics.- far, not easy to find- Tube is way smaller that what I've seen online. Disappointing.You know.... book a skydive instead. This company is a total joke. Definitely not a good bang for your buck!

Went to go and fly with my girlfriend!" after showing up to a field that looked nothing like there location on line"we continued on! The instructor made rude almost sexual comments towards my girlfriend, which made her very uncomfortable. Then continued on to walk her by hand to the flight chamber where he laid her down on the net and started the flight. Multiple times during the flight, I noticed the instructor touching her to hold her in place! The hole thing seemed very unprofessional rite from the start!! So much that she did not want to fly the second time, we just elected to leave.Not to mention the most disgusting port potie i have ever seen, there was crap and pee all over the seat.when i told the staff about it, they gave me a weird look and told me there was nothing they could do about it! not what it sounds like, not what it looks like, and kinda boring!!!!

I bought this as birthday gift for my husband. He had fun with a minute flying. We paid for the picture CD $ 25.00 and waited and found out that his picture wasn't included. We called immediately they said they going to send it to our home address. We waited for a week and no CD. I need to call them again and followed it up and found out it wasn't even mailed yet.

I took my girlfriend here for our 3 month anniversary and we left with large smiles on our faces. I was surprised to see a couple negative reviews here. This is the only facility of its type in Western Canada and the staff were super friendly and helpful in all the ways. I've already booked a spot to go back!

I attended Flyzone with a few buddies recently. It was a great time had by all. The instructors we had were very fun and professional. It was explained to us that our first flights were like riding a bike for the first time. The flips and twirls are things you learn later as you progress in the sport. Some of us flew (flopped around) better than others, but all on all we flew great! Flying is a super cool sensation. I bought a couple of extra minutes and my instructor taught me turns and how to go up and down while flying on my belly. The instructor is in the tunnel with you to spot you and ensure you are safe. He only touches you when you aren't flying well and helps you to fly better. I have already re-booked into a learn to fly program to develop my flight skills more. I can't wait to learn more tricks! It was a great experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

First-time Flyers are always accompanied in the wind tunnel with a certified Flight Instructor. The amount of freedom to fly given to each individual is dependent on how skillful the participant is at flying. If the participant requires spotting to stay in the centre of the tunnel, the Flight Instructor will have to ensure they are safe. Videos of Wind Tunnel flying can be found extensively online. You can find a variety of both "First-time" Flight videos, which depict the same experience that First-time Flyers experience here at FlyZone. You can also find "Experienced" Tunnel Flyer videos - that show tricks and flips. These participants have been flying for over 50 hours in the wind tunnel. They have invested time, energy and funding into furthering their skills in the Sport of Human Bodyflight. Many of our "First-Time" Flyers can fly unassisted in the tunnel after their first minute (with a spotter there of course), it really all depends on how well you fly! The more relaxed you are....the better you will fly!

We purchased 2 groupons for our adult kids and today was flight day. From the time they checked in, received instructions, suited up and took their flight, everything was handled with enthusiasm and professionalism. What a wonderful group of instructors. The kids can't wait to go again to improve on the skills they learned. Thanks to the whole team, the girls had a FANTASTIC time!!! We would definitely recommend this adventure.
