Played in the 80's and 90's before the Mtn Pine Beetle attacks. We played this course for the first time since all the trees were removed. It seems easier without the trees. However, layout is very challenging. Lots of elevation changes. Keep the ball inside the fairways as out of bounds and deep grass will cost strokes.
We have always enjoyed playing and eating at the Eaglepoint Golf Course over the last years. However our experience this Friday may result in never playing there again. Friends from Vancouver traveled to Kamloops for a round of golf with us. They booked a tee time a week ahead. Upon arrival we were greeted with a very long line up of carts and golfers waiting to tee off. Pro shop advised that it was first-come, first-served as their computer had gone down and they had no record of any tee times. We were told to simply "get in line" with no other options. ( We were not the only foursome that was disappointed that their previously booked tee times were not honoured.) We appreciate that computers will crash however we were told by other golfers that that they were advised on the Wednesday (two days before the computer crash) that Frriday would be a "first come first serve basis". Interesting ! Hope this was an isolated incident as clearly no way to run a golf course business.
We had so much fun on Mothers Day!Thank you for the gift of GolfIt was my first round of 18, only played 9 beforeBeautiful scenery, great staff, great hot dogs!Thank You!
did a last of season golf date with my wife. had a great time with temps in the low double digits, good to have a golf cart with some of the up and down topography. had a groupon deal which included $10 towards a meal after and the food was great, and consistent with our earlier round in the year. took family members who had been visiting with us, and they really enjoyed the course and the cost, $40 a round (18) each if we brought a food bank donation!
Very fun weekend with 2 rounds at Eaglepoint. I play 70-100 rounds per year and this is one of the nicer tracks in the area....Very pretty views and excellent staff...greens are tough but fair and the course is very well maintained
Played in a tournament. Course has some changes but not maintained like many other good courses in town.
Played twilight with my 12 year old sun from the forward tees and had a blast. The green fees for kids under 16 yrs is free and only $10 per seat on a power cart, adult green fee is $20 ( price includes tax). This golf track through ponderosa pines on a bench above the Thompson river in amongst the alfalfa fields is very tranquil and well laid out. There is a flow to the course and easy to feel that 3 holes went by effortlessly. Friendly staff, great food and service makes this an affordable golfing family experience.
You defintiely need a cart for this course unless you're a good walker. The course isn't a real toughie but is in great shape with fast greens and interesting fairways. At $35 for 18 holes INCLUDING CART it's the best value in the area. As a result be prepared. It's busy.
Despite losing most of the trees to the pine beetle, Eagle Point is still a good track and a challenge to good golfers yet easy enough for novices. Nice clubhouse with very friendly staff and good food and drinks
Some of the people that are members or are there a lot are not too patient we newbees Not as nice grooming and scenery as Kamloops golf club.
This is a fine golf course for the price and the greens and topography makes it fun to play. But if you are carrying or pushing a cart on a hot day,....well my recommendation is don't. It is a hard walk on a hot day so rent a power cart and enjoy the course. It will challenge you from the blue tees.
Changing terrain, good variety of challenges. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was very nice, great patio with nice views. The course is a little out of the way but if you are a golfer it is worth the extra time to get there.
With the loss of so many Pine trees, the character of the course has changed, but the challenge remains. Tee changes on the back nine have made some holes shorter, but not significantly less difficult. Well done!
This is a great course, great prices, great staff, and the food is great in the restaurant. I would say this is one of my favorite golf courses in the Kamloops area. The course is challenging, but ok for all levels of golfer. Even with the loss of the pine trees a few years back, the course is still beautiful.
the course is fun and the staff are great! Take all of my family when they come to Kamloops. Very friendly staff and beautiful views
