tobiano golf course

I had the opportunity to golf here last summer with a few friends who were members of Getintheloop. The course is fantastic. Came across these reviews while googling to book my own trip for this year. Beautiful course and club house !

Top 10 Public course?! I say top public course. The layout on the hills overlooking Kamloops Lake provide vista after vista as well as a challenging course layout. A lot of fun holes to play. Fairways were perfect. Greens roll perfectly. Club selection off the tee very important. As soon as we finished the round we wanted to play again!! Every golf trip to Kamloops will include this course. It a beautiful course. Love the setting!!! Restaurant is good,

Played with my brother towards the end of September and the setting is amazing! The course is incredible and the front nine is crazy awesome. The back nine wasn't as pretty but was still great. the course is really tough, choose the right tees! Loved it! can't wait to golf again.My only complaints...super crowded late in the golfing season and the course shows some wear. Watch out for the rattle snakes!

One of the best courses in the West. Spectacular views, firm fairways and fast greens.Friendly staff, great facilities and GPS carts. Play the tees which suit your game and you'll have a great time. Every hole is unique and IMO makes a great design carved out on the hills overlooking Kamloops Lake.I've played it four times and can't wait to play it again. Course management is key, don't need to hit driver on every hole, play up to a target area and you'll score well.

Beautiful setting and very well maintained but with all the blind shots, punishing rough, and very challenging greens, it's a little too gimmicky for my liking. An interesting once in a lifetime experience...

Man the greens were fast! Beautiful setting, pro shop staff was helpful and course was in great shape. Cost included cart and range balls. Ate lunch at the club house, very good. Don was very helpful with setting up our t times. Thank you.

This is the third McBroom track I have played (Tower Ranch in Kelowna and Southwood in Winnipeg). They are all punishing tracks with fescue grass apparently the main attraction. Tobiano is like the food at the Beach House Restaurant in Victoria BC......nice view! Tobiano has some fun holes with spectacular views on nice days. We were a eight ball group on a roadie having played together for nearly 20 years, all golf club members. We played Tobiano in perfect weather, this place would be an absolute terror in the wind. I only lost two balls but the place just beat us all up. The greens and many of the hole locations were diabolical, again typical of McBroom tracks. This kind of golf is not fun, and in my opinion, is one of the reasons, golf is experiencing such challenging times. I willand I suspect the rest of our group would share that opinion. not be back to Tobiano

Our first time at Tobiano and the course was in excellent shape. Although I'm a fair golfer, my husband is much better. We found the course challenging in many ways but such a delight to play. The course itself was in super shape - the fairways were like greens and the greens like the top of a pool table. Greens were running at 11. Every hole brought on a new challenge and spectacular views. The only minor thing I would suggest is that there was a better variety of snack foods for mid-break - possibly some fresh baking (ie - muffins, banana bread), hot dogs, fresh sandwiches ready to go - something that you can just run in to grab quickly before heading to the 10th hole. Didn't want to order hamburgers for mid-break from the golf cart as we were looking forward to a lunch meal after our game - which we ordered after our golf game and both meals were great and the service was spot on. Wonderful experience at this course and would definitely return!

Heard so much about this golf course and decided that we must at least play one round here while in Savona. The course is not a easy course and we actually lost quite a no. of balls during our game. But it's a beautiful and well maintained course, maybe a bit expensive but still worth an experience. They also have a good restaurant on site with good food too. All in all, a pleasant outing there.

Tobiano Golf is always a treat to play. Course is wonderful if you choose the correct tees. As 9 handicappers, they recommended we play the Spur tees however it is a test and we would have likely enjoyed our experience on the Lake tees. The "Spur" par threes are relatively short, par fours are monsters and the par fives are fun.Clubhouse staff were excellent.

The new owners seem to welcome golfers. This course is a good target course, meaning that if your drives are not long enough, you may not get to the fairway. Your drives also have to be straight or you will encounter considerable sage brush areas. This course used to be a cattle ranch, overlooking Kamloops Lake and no one lived in this area. This new development has lots of potential but is relatively new, in terms of development.

I found the course too artificial and too difficult. Quite a few holes you par 4 or par 5 the tee off need to fly over almost 200 yards from the white tee. There is no alternate safer options you have to risk it or lose it. If you have a bad day or is intimidated by the course you will have a long day and needs to have plenty of balls. And there are a few holes with lots of mosquito and other creatures.

The scenario is very distracting. The course itself is not too tough but the rough is a ball eater. No way do you go to the Okanagan to play golf and not play Tobiano

What a great location. 1/2 hour from Kamloops overlooking Kamloops Lake and the Tobiano Golf Course. When they slide open the windows in summer, it is just like one huge patio. And yes, the food is fabulous.
