Due to rain and cancellations by other groups scheduled for our trip, our rafting trip was canceled. But, we want to commend Fraser River Rafting for calling around to find us another outfitter and option for a rafting trip (which we took with Hyak on the Thompson River). We have no way to comment on the Fraser River Rafting Trip, but would sure give them a try if we ever get back to this area.
This has been the highlight of our trip so far! Ash, Jake, Josh & Lisa were so friendly, such good fun but kept us safe at all times. The rafting was challenging but the best fun ever! Did 2 rivers over 2 days and even when we were covered in water we all still kept smiling and asked Ash to challenge us more!Thankyou all!
We took our 2 granddaughters ages 10 and 12 on the rafting trip. It was a wonderful day on the Fraser River. Our guide Jeremiah was so knowledgeable and capable. It was a first time rafting adventure for all of us but because we had so much fun we will go back again next year.
On Aug.4/13 my family and I went on a rafting trip with Fraser River Rafting. It was amazing. Our guide Shane T. was really informative and a great guide. The rapids were so much fun. This was our first time rafting, and after this experience we are sure to do it again. It is worht the money.
First time river rafting and would it again! Our guide Shane was great and shared so much history of the fraser canyon. Had a nice lunch on the beach and they even supplied gluten free bread for me. There is also a hike up to a waterfall but very rocky so you need something more than water shoes to hike it. We got to ride each set of rapids at least 2-3 times, saving the best for last(sailors bar). It was absolutely amazing! As as daughter put the trip was calm and relaxing and wild and crazy ! Thanks to Shane and fraser river expeditions for a wonderful and truely memerable day.Hope to do it again next year
You will not find more knowledgable guides or friendlier people than the owners Darwin & Sue and their sons.
Great ride! We went with a large group of friends and family. We had a great time, So much fun. Nice views. Nice picnic for lunch with a swim in the river.
Our two sons (16 and 18) were keen to go white water rafting, and we booked them in with Fraser River Rafting after a series of informative emails and telephone calls. They stayed in Yale in a beautiful, historic house at the rafting base - they were in a room with several beds, but as it happened they were the only occupants. Sue very kindly cooked for them in the evening. By all accounts they had a great time with the other guests and staff - there was plenty to amuse them in the evening (they had no wish to walk to the nearby town), the beds were comfortable and they woke to a hearty breakfast before setting out on their rafting tripWe met them at 5.00pm. They were exhausted, but full of praise for the trip and the overall experience. Our younger son had been rafting in Ottawa a few weeks earlier and said that the Fraser River Rafting trip was a lot better and safer, on a steeper, more exciting river (the Nahatlatch, a tributary of the Fraser) with near continuous white water.
We went on this trip last year with our French Exchange Student. What a great way to show her what BC is all about, extreme style. Staff was amazing and funny. Lunch was delish! A must do for Province people and tourists.
Fraser River Raft was our first choice as they were recommended to us by both friends and family. If you are looking for a professional, safe, welcoming experience than look no further. The guides were professional and engaging, the trip down the river was life changing and everyone left more than satisfied. Missing my time on the river already!
Our group of three adults took the 1 day Thompson River tour on the powered raft. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, giving us a thorough safety orientation before handing out gear all around and helping us into the raft. The shore lunch was excellent. One of their staff took pictures of us on the river and we were very happy to purchase them already loaded onto a stick at the end of the day (and the pictures were great -- you can see that we were enjoying ourselves from the smiles on our faces!). The scenery from the river was stunning and the rapids were a blast. I look forward to trying some of their other rafting trips. We stayed at Teague House bed and breakfast for two nights and rafted the day inbetween which was a perfect combination. Great breakfast and beautifully furnished with antiques. The whole experience, from start to finish, was a highlight of our summer and one that we will always remember!
We went on a 3 day, 2 night trip on the Thompson and Fraser rivers, and our raft guides were Lisa and Simon (both from New Zealand). Owners, Sue & Darwin, scheduled this trip after receiving my inquiry about a 3 day trip in September (since I didn't see any listed on their website). If the other 2 people hadn't booked at the last minute, the 3 of us would have been the only ones on the trip. This tells you how accommodating they are! Lisa & Simon cooked fabulous meals and regaled us with hilarious stories and local history. We felt safe at all times, but also were thrilled with the power of the river & its whitewater. The last day, on the Fraser, we switched to motorized rafts and were joined by a group of 30+ who were only doing the 1-day Fraser River trip. Motorized rafts are the way to go on the Fraser, as one would never be able to paddle a raft through all those swirlies. Big thank you's to Lisa, Simon, Sue and Darwin.
What a rush! What scenery! What a fantastic thing to do, even for a scaredy cat like me. My husband and I went on a Fraser River Rafting Expedition, up the Nahatlatch River. The river was high and we were nervous. Quite a few of our fellow rafters seemed a bit too keen for some exciting action - we were hoping for something quite sedate. We have never rafted before but the guides spent a lot of time going through the safety procedures and we spent some time in a lake practicing before we headed out down the river. Well, this rafting trip turned out to be one of the highlights of our month long trip. We went down the section of the river twice, with a fantastic lunch inbetween the runs. The second time, everyone was really confident and we were taken through some bigger rapid options. We all managed to stay on board our rafts and we would now definately go again! The guides were great and the photographer captured some wicked action shots of us, which we were able to purchase on CD after the trip. A huge thumbs up for Fraser River Rafting!
