This is small park but it contains some interesting items. The exhibits themselves focus on the wooden boat building trade that was common here many years a go. Some artifacts of the industry can still be seen here. There is a nice view of the St. Lawrence at this spot. A good place to learn some local history.

Although it appears small when you drive up to this park, it offers a BIG experience if you take advantage of all it has to offer. Other reviewers have told it well. Be sure to take advantage of the I-pad they will give you to carry along as you walk through the park. Read all of the HUMAN stories that are loaded on the I-pad, and you will get a true feel of the industry and times. The Forest of Rails exhibit (that you might almost not notice) is WELL WORTH exploring....the sails are beautiful as are the words of folks who lived the life that are posted on the trees in this exhibit! This is a definite must see during your time on the island!
Once one of the major shipbuilding locations on the St. Lawrence, this park has a number of indoor and outdoor exhibits which bring Ile d'Orleans' maritime history to life. A beautiful view of the river, with a jetty and picnic areas from which to enjoy it. A great place for kids to explore, and stretch their legs.
This park has several vintage boats and a lot of history about Orleans Island's boat building industry. Several buildings are located on the site and have tools and other items which were used in the building of the various watercraft. One can walk throughout the area and get an idea of just how large this industry once was.
