Beautiful setting. A wonderland for kids. Very pleasant stroll, toilets and seating and very cool play equipment for little ones. Gorgeous floral gardens

the care and attention to detail in this park was appreciated as we walked of an evening there (we were staying across the road). The council ought to be congratulated on maintaining this facility to such a high standard: thank you.

What other small towns around the world have such an extraordinary park in the centre of town? Beautifully planted, a kids' playground, formal gardens, an extraordinary rose garden, and today, the annual Arts in the Park. Helped by exquisite early summer weather, it was a joy to walk around, visiting the stalls, watching the entertainment, listening to the bagpipes, having a sausage and best of all, chatting with your mates and seeing everyone emerge from their winter hibernation. How lucky this town is!

A wells obtained municipal park. A good range of children's playground equipment. A range of flower beads, rose collection, formal hedging, large pond with a number of foal garden walks. There is an interesting collection of historical statues as well as a colonial era cannon.

I haven't been to this park for a little while, but my son was there a few weeks ago for a birthday party. He had a fantastic time. This park is suitable for young children and the older ones who want a lot of grass area to run around on. Great for picnics and birthday parties.

A very nice place to sit and read a book or go for a stroll or to sit and have your take-away meal. Nice gardens and a really cool play ground. I go often as I live just out of Hawera. Very relaxing

A good park to wander through - not very big so it doesn't take too long. Numerous ducks in the pond to keep children entertained.

Beautiful Town Gardens in walking distance to The Villa Hawera on way to the township centre and it has a great play area for kids.

Such a beautiful park, beautiful flowers and shrubs, and very well maintained. The kids loved feeding the ducks and playing on the playground equipment.

This is a small park on the edge of town which has a wide variety of beautiful areas. The local council have worked hard to produce a pleasant environment for all visitors. A rose garden is currently in bloom and smells great. There is also a chinese garden, childrens playground, duck pond and much more. King Edward park borders Hicks park where during the summer months you might be lucky to catch a game of cricket. Also lots of statues and even a cannon for those interested in history. Suggest finding out who Stan Lay is and why a drive is named after him while you are there
