The Larapinta Trail has to be one of the most beautiful walks in the world. Difficult, exhilarating, magnificent, challenging, do-able.
Hello Susan,What an adventure going solo on the Larapinta Trail in the peak of summer. Congrats on your very careful planning and thoughtful preparations. Thank you for your high praise of our transfer services and we look forward to welcoming you back when you return for your next mission! All the bestRichard MayneManaging DirectorTrek Larapinta
Hello Peter,Thank you for taking the time to review your 6 day walk with Trek Larapinta. It was wonderful to be reminded of the incredible beauty you experienced on the trail and at our private camp. Timely advice in relation to boots and cameras too! On behalf of your awesome guides (Ann, Ben and Floriane) and all of us at Trek Larapinta thank you for choosing to trek with us.All the bestRichard MayneManaging Director Trek Larapinta
I only did parts of it but I would definitely return to walk the full length. From what I saw, it was magnificent.
Although we only explored a few sections of the trail we were blown away by the beauty of the area. The waterholes, rock formations, hills and mountains were all amazing and well worth the visit. The kiosk that can be found around half way along the trail also make the best iced coffee in NT.
Hello Paul,Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your trek with us, your words really captured the essence of what our 16 day Larapinta Trail End to End trek offers. As you highlighted in your review our guides are what make all the difference, I will pass on your high praise to Clare and Ben and look forward to seeing you when next you trek with us.Kind regardsRichard MayneManaging DirectorTrek Larapinta
Hello Daniel,Firstly on behalf of Trek Larapinta, I would like to offer our condolences on the passing of your mother. Trek Larapinta is a small business that prides itself on a commitment to excellence in everything we do. Our focus is always on being upfront and honest in all of our dealings with every stakeholder in our business - customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities and Government bodies. We have very clear terms and conditions in relation to our booking/acceptance of bookings for our tours, these terms and conditions were made very clear to you and you signed and accepted these terms and conditions before we accepted your booking. Cancelling your tour with us 2 days before its departure meant that we were unable to fill those now vacant places after we had also incurred all of the normal expenses in preparing that tour. At the time of your booking we also strongly recommended you take out travel insurance for unexpected circumstances such as you experienced. In your Trip Advisor review you stated that you received $2,800 from travel insurance however in an email dated 27th September to us, you advised that you received $3,800. Regardless of the amount that you received from your travel insurance company, it is clear that this is no fault of ours and that any amount of money you feel you are owed as a result of your cancelling 2 days prior to departure, should be borne by your insurance provider. Perhaps you should contact them and or write a review about them on a public forum such as this one. Over the many years that we have been operating the best treks on the Larapinta Trail, we have had customers who for one reason or another have had to cancel their tours with us. We have always tried to work with people to offer them alternatives such as offering a 12 month credit for any deposits or full payments made to be redeemed on any of our tours booked within the next 12 months. You did not wish to have a credit and instead wanted to cancel which we advised you as per our terms and conditions would mean a forfeit of all monies paid. I would like to re-iterate our booking terms and conditions are clear and unambiguous, your out of pocket expenses should be covered by insurance and it follows that there is where your complaint should be directed. Should you wish to book a trek with us we would be happy to offer you a discount to the amount you are claimed to be out of pocket.RegardsRichard MayneManaging DirectorTrek Larapinta
Beautiful couple of hours to enjoy nature. Saw kangaroos, birds, parrots and peace and quiet. What a lovely way for a tourist to experience the area.
It rocks! We walked parts of the western end of the trail. It is well marked, without being over-done
You can just do a few kilometres from the Telegraph Station if you choose… a beautiful safe walk. Bring water in summer. Choose sunrise not twilight
must see area to get the real feel of Alice springs and NT this area is so cool and the family will love it
Hello Bev,Thank you for such an appetising review! As well as showcasing the best sights of the Larapinta in the most eco friendly ways, Trek Larapinta prides itself on offering the most delicious meals on the trail. It seems the morning wake up calls with our guide Jacob playing the violin set you up perfectly for your days trekking (even on the 1.30am Mt Sonder summit day:). I will make sure to pass on your very kind words to both Jacob and Holger (who is not only an amazing guide but an owner of Trek Larapinta).Looking forward to seeing you again.Kind regardsRichard MayneManaging Director Trek Larapinta
