We stayed in one of six villas at the edge of the vineyard just over the road from the winery itself. The area is quite isolated and the amenities were pretty basic (make your own bed and do your own washing up) but it was clean and comfortable with good TV reception.. We soon learned that having a spa bath was more efficient than taking a shower, which had a nasty tendency to revert to freezing cold every so often! We'd sit out in the private patio area at the end of the day and watch the wildlife and from there the skies on a cloudless night were just magnificent..The cellar door was well set up and the food in the restaurant of excellent quality - the house wines definitely recommended! I would definitely come back for another dose of peace and quiet...There was much to see in the surrounding area within easy driving distance.

Overall, a fine stay. Location good, not far from middleton.Clean and generally comfortable.Shower head had no water pressure-it was basically mist! Fan in bathroom was covered in dust.Good heating.The bare minimums are included, but a little more attention to detail would be well appreciated. For example, the curtain loops make it very hard to open and close the curtains.The staff were lovely upon arrival.

We stopped for a taste and had a very pleasant conversation with the owner. After tasting we left with two bottles that we shared with a couple at the Beach Huts that afternoon.

I really love Currency Creek Winery. The cellar door has a good selection, including a very nice Moscato, ports and muscats, as well as drier wines for those who prefer less sweetness. The restaurant is fantastic. Portion sizes are very generous and are cooked to perfection.As I decided to get married at the winery, I visited on several occasions whilst settling on the venue, and during the organizing. We chose the venue because the service and food were both so fantastic. The owners and staff are all lovely and very helpful. Highly recommended, for the cellar door, restaurant, and the on-site nature walk and local birdlife!
