This basically is a seahorse farm done up like a tourist attraction. You can't wander you have to be part of an overlong tour which is a bit boring especially when the numptys ask daft questions.

I am so glad we made the time to visit Seahorse World. It was very well conducted and lasted about 1 hr. Initially we watched a wonderful video whilst waiting for the next scheduled tour. It was about Sea Dragons. I am now a fanatical fan of these rare and wonderful creatures. The tour encompassed behind the scenes breeding from the very beginning and progressed to the stage where they were big enough to be exported world-wide. The guide was very knowledgeable and we found the whole experience to be very interesting. At the end we were able to "cradle" a SeaHorse which was a special experience. This venue has a very high rate of SeaHorse breeding for which we should be very proud. And they also have a display of six Sea Dragons. Apparently the Sea Dragons are only found in southern areas of Victoria and northern Tasmania. So, very rare indeed. You must visit if you are in the area. Located approx. 30 minutes north of Launceston in the Tamar Valley district. You will not be disappointed.

Seahorse World is a must visit st Beauty Point. The tour is great and really gives you an insite into the wonderful world of sea horses, how they breed them and where their exported to all over the world. The displays are fantastic and the 'hands on' section was unbelievable. Don't miss Seahorse World.

My first experience of seeing so many varieties of sea horses . Some truly colorful and beautiful. Other fish and sealife on show as well.

Loved seahorse world. Informative and fun. Worth the visit. The colour and beauty of the seahorses is amazing. The staff are very helpful and answer any questions you may have but the information provided during your tour is very comprehensive. C & G Carroll, Brisbane

Khan is just the best tour guide. If u have the chance to call in do so. By the time I left I wanted to have a few. Khan makes the tour enjoyable and funny a very informative interesting guide..

Not often that you get to see so many of these fascinating creatures so close up. You even have the opportunity to hold one in your hand. A well run and interesting tour of the seahorse breeding facility.

Could have been longer to look at the sea horses and take photos of, seemed rushed to get the next group through waiting

I really love seahorses, and this attraction was a great chance to see a number of different varieties, as well as how they are bred in captivity. I did feel that we were a little rushed through the tour - as I would have liked to have had more time in the rooms with the seahorses. A touch expensive for a group (older family) of five. Note: that no flash photography is allowed.

This place is really worth visiting if in the Tamar Valley. The guided tour of the small aquarium and seahorse breeding facility is instructive and interesting. Much to learn about these delightful little creatures.

Saw thousands of seahorses, guide was excellant and knowledgeable, and you could tell she loved the place (was just as excited as us when she spotted a new brood just laid)Got to hold a seahorse, offered to hold an urchin (kiwis read Kina), starfish.Got to see you first cuttlefish, who was a real character.Good coffee.Tip: couldn't see it advertised but they do offer a double pass to Platypus world, next door... Worth buying together to save a few $$ (See seperate review)
