Having been to many markets all over Australia I was very impressed with the Evandale markets. There was fresh produce, 2nd hand goods and lots of home made products. Also lots of different types of food to consume. It is handy to Launceston. Even has a jumping castle/slide for the children. 20cent pp entry fee.

Great ace to visit and a must for antique lovers. I will be back for sure. Lots to see and close to Launceston. Note if you love shopping and you are from the mainland bring your car on the boat and load up at this market.

Thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours spent at the market. Go early to get a closer parking spot (and yes, make sure you obey the parking signs) and get the best bakery items early. Such a lot to see, from secondhand treasures, home baked treats, great egg and bacon rolls for breakfast, the sudanese donuts are very yummy and a must to try, hand made and sewn craft items, a really friendly community atmosphere with pony rides for the children and friendly stall holders. 20 cents entry, great value too! Ladies you may just come away with a new favourite item of clothing to wear, I got a lovely indian skirt new and a second hand scarf for $5 I know will become one of my favourite items to wear. So don't miss this market on a Sunday morning from 8 am.

A lovely market with treasures for everyone. A variety of goods and food, great place for children, families and anyone with an interest in old wares. Thoroughly enjoyed my day!

If you're looking for a man's hat at a reasonable price, Evandale Market is the place to go.Thrown in for the price, we received the opinions of the neighbouring stall owners as to which hat suited best. It was all a bit of fun and added to the lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the market. And my food tip, try the freshly cooked Sudanese donuts - a delicious treat.

We enjoyed the market and surrounds. Evandale was an unplanned stop on our trip of Tassie and a pleasant surprise.

Awesome markets that have been around for years. A very busy little hive of activity where items are on sale of every thing you can imagine. Pick up a real bargain here.

Evandale is the most delightful village just 15 minutes or so from Launceston airport. You have to remind yourself that you are still in Australia as it evokes scenes of English villages. The Sunday market is well worth exploring - particularly in the main hall which houses all sorts of antiques and memorabilia. I bought a pretty 18th century English plate for just $8! There is a magnificent selection of gourmet food - the best of Tasmanian produce. Drop into the pub to see the murals on the walls which depict aspects of Tasmania's beginnings; not just as a penal colony, but the role of the new settlers who helped build our country.Allow yourself at least two hours on a Sunday to peruse the market and walk around the town to explore the architecture. Simply stunning.

We spent a glorious morning @ these markets. If you enjoy French pastries then head to Manu first before she sells out. Manufique! Excuse my spelling. We found the prices of items quite reasonable. Pony rides for the children. Obey the no parking signs or you'll get nabbed. Worth a look if only to buy a pastry.

A great market offering a bit of everything, you could spend hours and a lot of money here.BUT PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE PARKING SIGNS AROUND THE STREETS NEAR THE MARKET. The signs have no parking between the hours of 7am - 3pm every Sunday. We were fined $150 for parking in a disabled zone which was marked with a sign facing in the wrong direction and in a tree which made it very hard to see. There were also between 50 -100 other cars booked at the same time as us, the police clearly target tourists every Sunday and must make a huge amount of revenue. Upon telling "locals" they advised there is parking after the market entrance in a paddock for a gold coin donation but there are no visible signs advertising this.

Due to a flight delay we were able to experience this lovely country market with its vegetables and pony rides it oozed English markets around a village green . The market cafe did a great chai latte and we walked around for over 1 hr .

A large market with everything on offer that a market should , plus moreWe were lucky that the weather on the day was the best they had experienced for many months ,it was a bluebird sky day.Didn't see any of the modern imported cheap products that has become such common place in markets now days ( commonly known as " trinket junk " )Many stall holders were on for a chat ,with some quite passionate on what they sell , eg The Honey van . And the plant sellers.Geoff

I do like this market, although I had a smile at being charged a small entry fee to enter lol.Its in a very pleasant surround and you cant fail to like Evandale anyway. It has a very European feel to it .The market has quite a large of variety of different produce... I watched one man carving wooden dolls which was fascinating. Lamb/Cow hides for sale as well as the usual homemade jewellery , take away food outlets, antiques, retro, fresh fruit /organic veggies.Well worth a visit and then visit the local bakeries which have cakes to add inches to your waistline!

Plenty of stalls from which to buy fresh produce, plants and cooked items. Best in sunny weather or when there is no rain about.
