A must go place for our family to visit every year we holiday in the area. Have noticed the falls are becoming a lot more popular, and therefore busier, but adds to the entertainment when watching someone take 5 or more attempts ( and over 1 hour) to jump off the top. When the conditions at the beach are not great (too hot; too windy) Mumbulla Falls are a great alternative for the family. Take the time to read about the Aboriginal heritage of the area whilst walking from the car park

This is my second post on Mumbulla Falls ( January 2014).First trip we couldn't find the falls and were disappointed. This visit we again enjoyed the dirt track we followed. We did manage to find them this trip but signage is inadequate (you only see the sign if coming from the highway not Tathra). Falls itself were fantastic. There must have been 100 people young and old. Kids and adults were jumping from rocks into the pool and there was also a rock slide into another pool. There were small ponds for little children to play in.BBQs, toilet and picnic area nice for lunch or snack. Nice boardwalk and aboriginal information to read.Beware of the goannas hanging around the picnic area ready to pounce on your lunch.

We turned off the Princes Hwy and half way through the 13km journey, after some very scary roads, we came to a sigh that said 4WD only. It would have been great if they put this sign at the start of the trip in. We were really looking forward to the falls but we couldn't even get there. Very disappointing!

Great place to relax and have fun in eater. Cool fresh and beautiful. Kids loved it. A bit of a drive from the highway but absolutely worth it. Can get a bit crowded and parking maybe an issue (although we went there on New Year day so maybe not typical) but you'll manage.

This was really fun. After a dirt track in to the car park, there is a short walk to the falls, where you can climb to the top and slide down the water fall. The kids loved it! There are toilets available to get changed, and a bbq where we cooked our lunch. While we were there a huge goanna got excited by the smell of meat and started chasing us around the barbecue (a highlight for us). All in all a really nice trip.

Totally excellent experience. A swim in the icy mountain water and a lovely family picnic. Fabulous fun in the sun in the shade.

The Mumboola Falls are such a pretty, undiscovered area. Although quite difficult to find, once you have found it you will be happy you persevered. A 4WD vehicle is recommended to get there. Once there you can climb down to the falls and play in the shallows. There are a few areas where the whole family can slide down the natural slides, either intentionally or unintentionally. Beware as the rocks can be very slippery!Young children will require close supervision. A picnic on the rocks in the sunshine makes for a perfect day.Goannas live here so keep a lookout and be prepared for a stinky bush toilet.Bring your bathers for sure!

Easy parking, toilets, short walk along boardwalk and not too difficult track down to falls and pools. Fun for all ages, especially kids who enjoyed sliding down the slippery rocks into the crystal clear but chilly pools. Not much rain previously but there were still falls to see.

Absolutely beautiful , BBQ facilities , toilets and a lovely board walk through the tree tops, it acknowledge the history of the mountain as aboriginal culture and that is a big plus, it is known as the female mountain in aboriginal culture,

We drove along the dirt roads for what seemed like for ever. The roads were not signed very well and before we knew it we were Back on the highway and saw a sign pointing back the way we came to the falls. Kids were very disappointed.

It was a rough dusty track up into the mountains to get there but we had a blast. Not really suitable for kids under 10.

Some locals told us about this place. It is natural fresh water pools where people of all ages can go for a dip. Great natural waterslide our kids loved. Has bbq facilities & basic toilets. Goannas walk freely but did not disturb us. A real gem of a place. Ideal for people with 4WD - bumpy road to get there....

Long drive but worth it. Good 4x4 track, but ok for 2WD if you come down clarkes rd. small falls, which makes it great for taking younger kids there.
