Only stopped for a coffee and a meeting but the coffee was really good (so was the meeting!)Great views from the rear of the facility; would be an excellent venue for a corporate cocktail party overlooking the grand vista.

This is a lovely new building housing a variety of functions. Library looked very interesting, cafe good. Function rooms can be hired, lovely views to the south. Dissapointing to have to pay to see the art exhibitions. This should be rethought and made free.

A good place to learn about the aboriginal lifestyle and culture. Also lots of souvenirs can be purchased here.

Great food, great coffee, and art all in one spot. I do not agree on the entry charge to see the exhibitions.

This is great, a really thoughtful and inspiring set of exhibits. we were lucky enough to visit when they had a new show opening in the art space but the standing exhibit on the natural and cultural heritage of the mountains is wonderful. great for kids too with lot of interactive tech

Culture and Katoomba go together as well as oil and water. However in spite of this handicap the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre surprises with the quality of its exhibitions. The council is trying to set up Katoomba as a centre of cultural excellence - this will be a truly Herculean task - you have to give them full marks for trying. I doubt very much that Katoomba will ever rival Rome or Paris or perhaps even Wagga Wagga but the Cultural Centre is worth a visit all the same.

A great place to visit while in Katoomba. Great exhibitions and art work, brilliant displays about the Blue Mountains, good cafe and visitors shop. Well worth the trip

Visited here a few times, with my kids and elderly Aunty, and then my Mum, they all loved it, has some wonderful Art Exhibitions in the Regional Gallery on show and when we were there a free showing of old films, as well as a choir singing in the foyer, what a bonus. The info shared on the Blue Mountains and the stories of people who lived there wonderful. The cafe serves tasty food, lovely coffee and the open space outside is a bonus, wonderful views too. The staff here a wonderful. A much needed place for Katoomba to showcase its other attributes. It also has the library next to it, which has free wifi and wonderful books to read for adults and kids, aswell as space too book for meetings. Love it, what a wonderful hub :)

Pales in comparison to the natural wonders of the mountains, but the art gallery often has some very good shows on and the world heritage exhibit is a nice thing to do to kill an hour on a rainy day. Hard to make a gallery exhibit measure up to the real splendour of the Jamison valley I suppose, but the video exhibit is pretty cool. Only costs $5 too, which includes your entry into whatever touring show they have on in the art gallery too. The shop is really fantastic though and a great place to be getting souvineers. They run a free community chess on a saturday morning too, which is nice if the weather is bad or you're in the mountains for a while and fancy meeting some locals.

If you go to Katoomba, you must visit the Cultural Centre which is an amazing place!!The regional gallery will take you to the beautiful Australian Heritage of the Blue Mountains. You will experience another world. There are lots of programs and exhibitions for everyone.

I am a member of this centre and love the fact that it brings cutting-edge exhibitions to the Blue Mountains. The regional gallery is an amazing space and has a really wonderful program of exhibitions of national and international quality, but also has a strong program of exhibitions drawing on the huge pool of famous local artists. It also gives great opportunities for emerging artists to show their work.Parking is easy in the underground carpark for Coles and other shops. The lift takes you directly to the Art Gallery, the magnificent library and the Mountains Heritage interactive display. On Boxing Day I was able to take my family, with my grandchildren, visiting from Sydney, to see the exhibition of art by Western Australian Indigenous artists and even on that holiday have a very good informal lunch at the cafe. All visitors to Katoomba, capital of the Blue Mountains, should put this place on their itinerary. It will not disappoint!

There's always something great to see here. Brett Whitely, WeDontNeedaMap, Scott Marr and so many great local artists. The Virtual Room is also mind blowing

Displays better than what we thought they were. You need to experience this. Good for tourists and locals - a great feel.

We visited the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre to see the current exhibition We don’t need a map, the traditional culture and knowledge of the Martu people from the Western Australian Desert. We really enjoyed the exhibition, especially the video installations, which gave us a insight into life in the desert. The staff person at the exhibition was really helpful and came over and handed me a catalogue/ guide to the exhibition so I could understand it a little better. What a nice man! We then had a look at the small but brilliantly curated shop - which an excellent selection of books on various aspects of the arts, and again, met a very pleasant and well informed staff person who was very helpful and who was playing some great West African kora music! Wow, that was amazing. We had a coffee at the centre's coffee bar. Superb coffee and again really nice, welcoming helpful staff. This centre is just amazing. A great exhibition, supported by some really good aids to interpretation and really oustanding staff. What a find and what a treasure. Other arts centres (and other cultural centres) could well learn a few lessons on selection of exhibition material, presentation and, most importantly, how to welcome and relate to patrons from this Centre. There is a terrace outside with a view to the Mountains and Hotel Carrington is very close by. Well worth a visit and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

After a hideous experience at the Petalura Cafe in Mount Victoria we licked our wounds and headed for the cafe at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre in Katoomba...and what a joy! Space for small children, such truly friendly staff, delicious food even for vegos and an art gallery, library and amazing vistas from every angle!!Our little ones even knocked their plate of blueberry tart on the carpet and the staff just brushed away our concern. It was a brilliant space for little ones to stretch their legs and for mothers groups, no doubt, to congregate (one was there during our visit). Please go and enjoy great service and great food :)
