This garden I have been visiting for years, love going here. Even when its not Tulip Festival time it does not disappoint.
Seriously run down and under maintained in the off season. Very quaint gardens. We could see how they would be beautiful in full bloom.
Corbett Gardens are very well-maintained gardens in the beautiful Bowral of New South Wales. The gardens are an absolute pleasure to walk through, or to sit in and relax by yourself or with friends. Every September, the Southern Highlands hosts Tulip Time, which has become the region's largest event - and Corbett Gardens are the centrepiece of Tulip Time, and with good reason. Tulips blossom in Corbett Gardens for the two weeks every September that Tulip Time is held, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over Australia and the world. Wingecarribee Shire Council does a tremendous job of running Tulip Time each year and making sure Corbett Gardens looks even more amazing as the years go by. (Council also does a great job keeping Corbett Gardens looking great the whole year through too.) There are several ponds in Corbett Gardens, and a few rotundas and park benches, which all add to the delightful atmosphere of the gardens themselves. I can't speak highly enough of Corbett Gardens, and my hat goes off to the council gardeners who work to look after them. Highly recommended.
It's only a modest sized park and for most of the year just a pleasant place to sit and spend a quiet moment. However during the annual tulip time festival it really comes alive with an amazing display of tulips that people come from miles around to see. Time your visit for Tulip Time.
This is no Keukenhof where there are acres and acres of tulips but it is nice to see the colourful massed displays in this small garden as a reminder of the European spring.Take tea in the CWA hall or have a sizzled Rotary sausage to complete the experience.
Beautiful display of tulips and other flowers, very thoughtfully designed and planted. The weather was perfect and the whole experience was lovely. The stalls also had a great array of items for sale.
Great timing to experience the Tulips in full bloom - a colourful sight! Lucky also to experience the annual Food & Wine Festival held on a beautiful sunny spring day. Excellent day out, lots of food & wine stalls - highly recommended.
The tulips were beautiful. Colourful, beautifully planted out and in full bloom. The water features were a lovely addition to the layout of the whole gardens. There were lots of stalls during the Tulip Festival for those who wished to avail themselves of all sorts of things to purchase.
I went to the Tulip show with the family. At $20 per person , I consider it to be poor value. Drive for 2 hours to Canberra and enjoy the Floriade, which is much larger and much more colourful and it is free!
This garden in Bowral has been planted with the most colorfull flowers in patterns sculptures and glorious relief.Currently in its pregrowth period but already showing signs of what will be an amazing display, return in a month and be amazed.
