high adventure paragliding

A friend and I wanted to try out tandem paragliding and we had a great time with High Adventure Paragliding.High Adventure runs a paragliding school but also offers tandem flights with two options, a coastal flight and a mountain flight. We chose the coastal flight and the team were great in terms of letting us know when and where to come. It is obviously hard for them to give a lot of notice given paragliding is so dependent on the weather and wind speeds so keep this in mind. They gave us instructions on where to come and we ended up flying at Indian Head in Crowdy Bay National Park.With respect to the paragliding itself, the team were incredibly professional. There wasn't a lot of explaining of the safety aspects or the risks even though we had to sign a waiver so they probably need to work on this a bit. Having said that, I felt completely safe the whole time. Brooke (I think that was his name) took one of us up at a time and we each had a twenty minute flight in the area. The flight was really pleasant, the views were incredible and nothing I have ever seen before and Brooke did a couple of big turns just for fun. He also let me take the controls for a little bit which was very cool. I unfortunately felt a little bit unwell during the flight and Brooke was very nice about it. He landed us on the beach very safely but unfortunately I made us both fall over, which was still fun. With respect to the price, the advertised price was 160 dollars pp. They unfortunately did not tell me that I had to bring cash though so make sure you take cash with you! We were a bit short given we were expecting to pay by credit card but they were very good about it and let us have a bit of a discount as my flight was a bit short. Overall, we had a great time and this was a brilliant way to experience paragliding for the first time..

Excellent business, Dave and Brooke are class leaders and have the skills to back up their instruction, awesome facilities and flying sites! If the wind was a little strong for solo's we just went up in tandems! So glad i chose these guys to do my license with, so calming and very understanding with everyones learning pace! Big thumbs up!! 110% would recommend. For both tandem flight and solo course!!

Hi HighnlowSorry that we missed you in early January. We started our December course on Boxing day and we really had a shortage of Tandem Pilots around due to Xmas holidays. The commercial tandem pilots we had on were doing up to 8 tandems a day over the period and we has our teaching school in full operation.
