Go where all the locals do for a great meal and view. Service is fast and meals are very good value. The view is across the gorgeous Tweed river, fabulous at dusk as the sun sets over the hills.

we come here regularly as it is the best value on The Tweed. Good size servings at a reasonable price. Great location overlooking the Tweed River & a lovely breeze on a hot summers day.

The Chinderah Tavern is one of the best places for casual dining in the greater Tweed area. Every time, the food is served swiftly with the quality and quantity always above par. One thing I love about this place is that I can pull my boat up to the small sandy beach out front, tie up and head in for a quick lunch before hitting the water again. Highly recommended.

Great food, great location and friendly staff - always a good time is had by all when we visit there which is at least once a month!

Great place to take the family for lunch. Tavern sits opposite the Tweed River and has a playground for the kids. Great meals and atmosphere

Visited twice during our trip and can not speak highly enough of itThe two man band playing on Friday night were great fun, and the $20 surf and turf was amazing, and big, very big. Beer was cool, the view onto the river is great and the staff were great value.Next time I'm up that way I'll be back again. Kid friendly, my 2 yr old son was free to play outside on the balcony, although they obviously don't let kids into the bar section.The Sunday (Australia day) was just as fun

This was a good place to have a drink. Usual freezing cold Ozzie beer! Liked the ambiance. Nice to sit in the open and share the view.

Went to Chinderah Tavern last weekend to catch up with some old family friends. Service was great, food was fantastic, biggest chicken schnitzels I have ever seen and cooked to perfection. Which is not easy when they are that large. All meals were very good. An amazing view looking out onto the river. Had a great day, will return.One down fall was the toilets, they were on the noise and we couldn't even go in there. Someone said something and they were cleaned and useable by the time we left.

We visited the Chinderah Tavern, sat on the deck that looks across to the Tweed River and had a great meal of Salt & Pepper Calamari. The food was reasonably priced, as were the drinks, and the quality was great. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We will be returning on our next visit up there.

Went here for lunch on the weekend. The pub looks good after it's renovation. The food was food as was the entertainment.
