Driven past many a time, always in a hurry to be somewhere else. Today I decided to stop and see the display.Glad I did!$12 gets you in the door to see an absolutely fascinating display of motorcycle history, including hundreds of motorcycles and assorted memorabilia.Plenty of memories for those of us who ride, or used to ride.Historic motorcycles, street bikes, racing machines and dirt bikes are well organist in display, most with a good coverage and description accompanying them.I enjoyed myself so much I even bought the T Shirt!Definitely worth a visit.
I had a visitor staying at my home and didn't know what to do for the afternoon.Looked up this place and we decided to go.Wow again. I am not really into motorbikes but I enjoyed the place so much.If you like bikes or even know anything about them visit this museum.
Huge place heaps of bikes!! There's more models of bikes than I could imagine. I enjoyed seeing how over the years motorbikes evolved and a lot of the bikes had there own personal story. Loved it!!
This place is awesome!! Good value for bikes and motor sports in general. $12 for adults was a far price for content. Took heaps of photos, worth the visit!!
If you like anything about Motorcycles you must visit. This is about my third visit to the Motorcycle Museum, this time it was a privilege to take some friends there. It's nice look at some great classic and modern motorcycles. You won't be disappointed as they have a huge range of motorcycle and anything related to motorcycles and memorabilia.Every motorcycle has a story and it's interesting to read some of those stories behind the motorcycles. It brings a lot of personality to the Museum.
Very interesting - so much on display. Clean and family friendly. Worth the visit. It's situated in a great location as Nabiac has such a cuteness about it.
I was amazed at the number of bikes and the variety. Given the room they are still crammed in, in certain places but overall it is still an impressive display with models from all round the world. Well worth the visit for any bike lover
we stopped here in 2010 and again a week ago on our way home from another road trip. There was more there this time than there was last time we visited. spent atleast an hour there and if my man had his way, we would have been there a lot longer. Well worth the stop, for the second, or third time even. I'm sure we'll stop by there again in the future.
The museum is quite large and really is quite raw. It really isn't a museum with motorcycles in cabinets, pristine condition, and dust free. This is a museum where you can get up close, touch and feel the exhibits and see a huge collaboration of motorcycling paraphernalia. There is a huge collection of bikes, mostly older, and some very eclectic/strange bikes too.I easily spend a couple of hours walking around reading some (but not all) of the information on particular bikes, but think that if you really wanted to and you REALLY loved bikes, you could easily spend all day walking around.Overall it was good value for money, but think that paying anymore than $12 per adult would be starting to push it.There is also a reasonably good souvenir shop, with many branded goods.
Saw the first model bike I owned here. Avery large display of bikes here even ones Ive never heard of. $12 to get in wasn't to bad to support such a prime display. The bike just went on and on.I would suggest if your up this way I would recommend you do drop in.
As a lifelong biker I found the National Motorcycle Museum absolutely fabulous! a bikers dream come true, I could have spent all day here , there is simply so much good stuff to see. Unlike other museums there are bikes in all sorts of conditions from concours to rusted heaps grouped in logical order eiither to manufacturer, era or type. Mountains of displays and memrobilia , a huge library of motorcycle information , reviews and technical articles. it will need several visits to do it justice. Check out the website and you can preview the bikes on line , The best $12 i have spent in Australia.
The national motorcycle museum is in a small town called Nabiac and boosts over 900 motorcycles which is pretty impressive. It's the largest motorcycle museum in nsw and the motorbike displays were a great addition to the museum. One major flaw is that the motorbikes are crammed into the museum with no care. If they had more space then it would probably look better. Also another flaw is that you will soon find repetition while going through the museum and a lot of the motorcycles look the same to each other. Overall the museum was ok but it didn't make me angry or happy.
Not really a motorcycle fan but having been to Invercargill a few months ago and seen the Indian museum, I was curious to see how this was. Even for a non fanatic it holds a lot of interest. I loved the history and was even more amazed at how long bikes had been in existence.
Having previously read about the National Motorcycle Museum in many mags and websites, this was a must see - but it was still a surprise. Motorcycles as far as you can see - turn a corner and there’s more. Most are in good condition, although a lot are simply on display as they arrived with no restoration. Not as much narrative on the bikes as you might expect in a museum, but the range of models made up for this slight negative. Well worth the modest entry fee and the time to stop and have a look.
Well for a family of 6 this was reasonably priced even the 3 gals ( well 4 if you include me) thoroughly enjoyed it, the gals took in the history of all the old styles of motorcycles hubby was in aww at the antique Castrol signs etc & for me it was a learning curve ( not much space for prams I just had a run about stroller) & managed 2 get through without the baby destroying anything.. We all Head up the PCF HWY for a holiday but yet none of us take time out to enjoy the small things in life like this museum please go YOU will thoroughly Enjoy yourself....
