Loved this tour. All you ever want to know about oysters & a wonderful cruise as well. Plus you get to eat freshly shucked Sydney Rock Oysters, whihc are the best I have ever tasted. Highly recommend this tour.

Captain Spounge offers a great tour around the local oyster farms in Pambula. He is a wealth of knowledge and is clearly very passionate about not only farming oysters but sharing his experience with us. Whilst there was some sample oysters to taste on the cruise, the best part of the tour was no doubt spending time on the various farms and learning about the methods for getting the best and tastiest oysters. Looking forward to returning to Pambula for this cruise in the near future. Captain Spounge mentioned that he is looking to add an indigenous element to the tour which sounds very exciting. Great morning out, highly recommend it. Just remember to wear sunscreen.

What a super pleasant journey this is. A thoroughly relaxed enjoyable tour through the crystal blue waters of the lake and oyster farms. Heading up the river was amazing, the wild life sounds and sights of the natural world above is very refreshing, the eagle was the highlight of the trip for me, he is magic. Your freshly shucked oysters made magic happen in my mouth. All in all I say "Captain Sponges Magical Oyster Tours" is true to name. Thank you so much for a great adventure.

Went with family and friends and had an excellent afternoon out on Pambula Lake. If you like oysters, scenery, nature, relaxing and learning stuff then this is the tour for you. Sponge has the knowledge and the oysters and Pambula Lake does the rest. Do yourself a favour.

Just had the most fantastic afternoon out on the crystal clear waters of Pambula Lake and River. The commentary was first rate with plenty of information and yarns about the local oyster industry and history of the lake, all delivered by the knowledgable guide. 4000 year old aboriginal middens to modern oyster farming techniques. Sea Eagles kept watch from the lofty branches of the surrounds on a sunny afternoon. Export quality oysters, shucked fresh are a must for the seafood lover. I highly recommend this family friendly tour.

Took the extended family on this tour and it was well worth it! Ages ranged from 5 to 75 and was suitable for all. The lake and scenery was stunning. We learnt about the oyster farming by visiting the leases and tasted the freshest oysters with a squeeze of lemon. The timing out on the water is just right. A short beach stop half way allows you to explore the beautiful coastline and aboriginal middens. Take a camera, pack snacks for the kids, some wine ( & plastic glasses) and a platter for adults to share along the way and you will have a most enjoyable experience. A great way to connect visitors & friends to this magical part of the coast.
