sandbar beach

Paddling up to Sandbar Beach via paddle board and then swimming in the lake and ocean is a great experience.

From our Holiday House we have viewed Sandbar for many years but finally visited this trip. It's an easy walk from the track out of Sandbar Caravan Park because it's a 4wd section only from the sign posted beach. There is very limited parking (4 or 5 cars max) for 2wd. But a short 15 minute stroll to your own stretch of beach. You can paddle in Smiths Lake or dive into the Surf which can be a bit wild sometimes , use caution & common sense ! But we spent a very relaxing 3+ hours and will do it again when next up there, a real nice quite spot !
