The long winding drive from Ingham is well worth it . The views half way up the mountain are amazing and make a great photo opportunity. We loved standing on the viewing platform and just staring at these beautiful falls from above. We drove to the camping area and spoke to a very heful ranger scrubbing the BBQ. As We are not particularly fit and are seniors .He suggested I do a short 500 metre walk to a small sandy beach for a swim in a waterhole. It was refreshing, safe and pretty and the walk through the rainforest was pleasant.I love visiting falls where it is safe to swim.We returned to Ingham and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the town. We had previously visited Ingham Cemetery which is a real eye opener.I won't say why but don't miss it,only a short drive out of town!!!!!

I drive quite slowly so made the journey into part of the day. Over an hour to get there, about 12km on windy narrow road, surface fine though. Levels out for last 10km. Fabulous falls, even from the top without Walking down. Recommended!

21st February 2015. After a great early morning drive up from Townsville ( c- 1.75hrs, to the falls) and the best breakfast at the Majestic Cafe, Ingham I descended down the steep path to the base of the falls. Mostly through very nice vine thicket rainforest with good views along the way. Seeing the falls from below is amazing ang defiantly worth the effort.Approx 40 minutes to decend on a rough, rocky but good pathway (but would be slippery when wet) and a very tough 1.15 hrs return. A better than average level of fitness (or be prepared to extend this accent time) is recomended and plenty of water. I had 2 litres myself and only a tiny bit left when I reach the top. Average temp and humidity on the path, actually worse on top.So, wether you view from the top lookout (50m from the car park) or slog to the base of the falls this place is amazing. Also, be aware that there is no phone cover in this area if needed.

It's quite a drive to get there from Ingham but really worth it.The climb up through the hills is spectacular; we kept our eyes peeled for Cassowaries because there were signs for them, but didn't see any. The falls themselves are set in a beautiful gorge and the view across from the lookout point is fabulous. We had the spot virtually to ourselves.

Beautiful place for tourists to visit. Make sure to take plenty of water, it gets very hot. There are a lot of steps to walk down & back up if you choose, these can be very slippery in the wet season.

Wallaman Falls is a beautiful waterfall. The views are amazing, there are lots of picnic tables and barbeques. There are no shops or anywhere to buy food or drinks. Take them with you. The walk to the bottom of the falls is a fair way. but worth it the water is beautiful. The road up the range is windy in places. I myself wouldn't take a caravan. I love Wallaman Falls.

To get to this waterfall you need to drive approx 1 hr inland from Ingham, but it's definitely worth the detour. The drive itself is beautiful and takes you through rainforest on windy roads. The view at the lookout is amazing, but you can also walk to the base of the waterfall. On the walk down you can see the spectacular waterfall through the rainforest. The return walk takes about 2 hrs according to the signs, but if you're really fit it will take you about 45 minutes return.Make sure you wear good walking shoes as some parts of the track can be slippery (rocks) and take some drinking water.Best time to visit is autumn or early winter.

Awesome place but I will say "If your not fit?" stay at the viewing station! One thing I would like changed? Is an actual marker so people can gauge the distance too go? As its a long way and if you don't feel capable? This could be a bit of a risk! However I took awesome photos! And the water beautiful!

The drive up was enjoyable, once the scenery changes to more rainforest, it really starts to become windy. Watch out for cattle. Once you reach the car park, the lookouts are just a short walk. There is toilets, but they are long-drops. The Waterfall is absolutely amazing, truly spectacular. If you want to get to the bottom, the walk down isn't to bad a little steep in places. And should mention...if you wished to go for a swim (which is amazing, cold but awesome) you will have to climb quite a few large rocks. The hardest part is walking back up, it is exhausting and will make your heart pump. Take a bottle of water with you and wear sensible shoes. Best place I've been too!!!

A beautiful drive, once you park the car it's a quick walk to the lookout. If it's raining don't expect too much. I managed a quick photo of the falls and loved the drive. Be careful the road is narrow and snakes through the rainforest. Also cattle can be on the road, just beep horn and give them time to move out of the way. Enjoy.

The scenery changes dramatically on the road from Ingham to the falls..... amazing. Flat sugar cane fields to forests then mountain rain forest.

The waterfall is very impressive to see, worth the trip! You can drive the whole way up to the scenic point, so no hiking is required (unless you want to), nice experience for everybody!

This waterfall is worth the approx 1 hr drive inland from Ingham. In fact the drive itself is interesting through a variety of landscapes. The walk down to the base of the waterfall is a bit strenuous but the view of the falls and surrounding cliffs is beautiful. Make sure you wear good walking shoes and take some drinking water. Lovely example of Australian landscape.

Need to take time to travel 1 hour by car/motorbike from Ingham in Queensland. Spectacular single drop waterfall. In midst of a National Park it is accessed via a bitumen road (except for about 5 kms of hard dirt road). The road crosses canefields and unfenced cattle range until it reaches the foothills then a narrow and winding road with several stunning views across the coastal plains. No staffed facilities but toilets and boardwalk to lookout. Several information boards. We visited shortly before sunset and the view was outstanding. Highly recommended.
