Cedar Creek Falls are approx. 30 km from Airlie Beach and due to strong winds we had nothing to do, neither in the air nor on the sea. So what to do? Land side attractions are pretty rare around Airlie Beach so we drove to the falls. Parking was absolutely no problem and from the parking lot it's like 5 meters walk to the pool of the falls. When we visited there wasn't a lot of water and the color also wasn't inviting. We already wanted to leave when we saw two guys climbing up. So we waited for their jump, took a video. That was pretty cool.

I looked up the place online and went there during my holiday.Though it was dried out when we arrived, So when you want to view the waterfall you should check on forehand when/if it is flowing. Though even when it is not flowing it is still a beautiful place with some wildlife. You can see small fish, turtles and lizards here.

This was such a beautiful place we had to visit it twice. The first day we parked our car near the creak and waded through the water that was almost knee high. The walk to the fall took around 10 minutes and well worth it. Beautiful to hear the birds and notice the flora. The power of the cedar creek falls can be heard before you actually see the spender and power of its beauty. Once at the fall many wonderful photo's were taken and shoes removed to enjoy the cool water. The following day we came prepared and were able to drive directly to the falls. Donned with swim suit and water shoes we enjoyed the fresh clear water of such a pristine location. Just a little warning DO NOT JUMP FROM THE FALLS one young man did just this on our second visit and is now in a brace and spent 3 nights in Hospital.

This beautiful natural waterfall is well worth a stop, the water is crystal clear and refreshing, great for a swim especially after the northern Queensland humid weather.

We heard about this hidden bit of heaven and attempted to visit whilst on a break over last Valentine's weekend. Firstly, be warned that the sign-post that reads "limited parking ahead" is an understatement and don't even venture down the driveway to check for possible parking! The narrow road was lined with parked cars on both sides which made it impossible to turn around, reverse, or pass oncoming traffic. We were gridlocked in with other frustrated drivers for more than an hour. Then to add a dash of 'local flavour", when my partner tried to help by re-directing the traffic using the driveway leading off the access road, we were verbally abused by the tenants' swearing, ranting and raving, because we were "trespassing on their private property". We calmly accepted the bad attitude and vile language from these people, and fled the place, stripped of the excited energy we arrived with.

i visited the falls last Sunday with my daughter and was shocked about what I saw.The parking is a nighmare when it's busy for a start - people block access to driveways, park in no standing areas etc. There's a fairly long walk down the hill to the start of the trail where there's only room for a few cars.Parking wasn't policed the day I went. Then there's the rubbish. What kind of people litter the trail and rocks around the falls with plastic bottles and all sorts of crap.Signs say people have been seriously injured or died from jumping off the rocks - it didn't stop many people from doing it - including many kids roaming around unsupervised. Many people were using short cuts and damaging the vegetation. Then there was the rock throwers. What sort of moron would throw rocks at people who are enjoying themselves in the pools? Bogans that's who. The sooner police start issuing parking fines and park rangers start looking after the natural environment the better. There was no signs of anyone caring when I went to Cedar Creek and that's why I was so disappointed.

Was recommended to hire a car from Airlie Beach and visit the falls. Glad we did!Weather was erratic as showery, cold at times but warm enough to swim.Amazing experience swimming under a waterfall! Quite stoney so use beach/water shoes if you can. Well worth a visit.

The lovely fresh water is nice and cool to swim in. The rocks surrounding the water are a bit hard on the feet so bring socks or reef shoes if you have them. The locals bring their own booze to the falls so it might be an idea to take some with you to really cool off!

I expected and suggest a boarded walkways like most other national parks have installed worth the climb to the top 6/10 difficulty The rocks can be tough on your feet If it rains after you have visited go again so worth a second look

Not very far off the Bruce Highway and well worth the trip. Clear water and the falls are lovely. Hard to top Airlie Beach just up the road but for those who love the bush this is great.

If your heading out when the waters flowing this is a beautiful place to be.very well known to the locals for a place to take a date or groups of friends on weekends so if its hot head out there early. You will need a car to get out here though however there s no costs at all when your there. It really is just a big waterfall with a swimming hole underneath so don't go over expecting anythingSome people jump of the rocks and dive in however it can be dangerous if its shallow.Highly recommend to take some wine or beer swimmers and maybe some music and a rug and head out for a day its very pretty. There s also beaches nearby that you can head to after .No restaurants or food outlets

Took some friends here who were visiting to do the usual tourist haunts. So disappointed to find the falls had run dry. There was only a stagnant pool at the bottom. Once it rains though this place will be amazing! Some great spots to explore

Nice little bush walk to the falls, walk to the top, wasn't too much water going over in July but a lovely place to visit, not too far from Airline Beach

Absolutely beautiful even without the falls. So tranquil. We have a 5yo, 7yo and 9yo and we climbed to the top of the falls, some areas were a little tricky but we managed. Apparently there are turtles, we didn't see any, other families were throwing rocks into the water unfortunately that would have scared the poor creatures.
