Since we were going to spend the whole day here I opted to go with the $35 UNLIMITED all day pass for my son and let m tell you he got every last cent out of it and loved it ! Mini Golf, trampolines, boats in the pool shooting water and some type of hamster wheel he made heaps of friends and wore himself out whilst I chilled out by the pool. Yes it would be expensive if you had 3 or 4 kids but for 1 or 2 I reckon money well spent
We only took our 2 yr old son on the trampolines, which at $5 for 10 minutes was reasonable. There is a decent park next to it which is free and of course the nice beach just a few metres away.Great spot for kids.
The outdoor trampolines are always a little treat for the kids even though we have one in the backyard at home! $5 for 10minutes feels excessive when you can go to a trampoline park in Melbourne for $10/hr. I guess we are spoilt in the city!Mini Golf - 18 holes $35 for a family of 2ad+2chn. We had fun hitting around the course. Lots of laughs to be had. There's a pass you can purchase ($35ish per person from memory to allow unlimited access to the entire facility - pool, tramps, golf)
With more places coming up with trampolines ... this place seems less attractive. Took the chance to break my journey on the way to Apollo Bay from Melbourne ... thought Id let the kids loose at this place. They enjoyed the trampolines but overall seemed like a ho-hum experience and rather blah. My kids went into the Ball thingy and got a little wet. Asked for a towel and they said they would need to charge. This in spite of us asking so that we'd not damp up their salt room.On the return trip they didn't clamour to visit the place, even though I stopped by Lorne for a petrol break.
So strange they built this on what must be Lorne's premium piece of land. The building itself must of cost millions, but then to not have a heated pool!!!!! It was winter, it was freezing, it was outdoor , need i say more?!
Took both my girls to try the trampolines, for both my girls it cost $10 just to bounce on small trampolines for ten minutes, the mini golf was close by and i asked how much that was, that was extra as well as everything else. It was boring and expensive. The service was poor, served by a older guy who seriously acted like he just did not want to be there.
We spent a whole day here and had a great time!If you are considering it make sure you get the super pass it is the best value for money but allow yourselves a whole day for it!Its a blast!
Not overcrowded which is nice. Has a Resort feel and looks over the Pavillion Cafe and Restaurant next door. Reasonable pricing for entry. Very relaxing!
We went to this amazing place the day after Australia Day. It was HOT - damn hot. It is like a resort but for the public. We bought the children a full pass which included both water and land activities which seemed extravagant but they had the best day of their holidays. There were water dodgem cars with water pistols, water hamster wheels, a field of trampolines, mini-golf areas to name a few. Adults relaxed in the well designed shaded areas with access to the gourmet cafe or hopped into the perfect temperature spa. Could this really be a public pool? I hear from the locals that the council skimped on pool heating which is a shame as the pool was perfect on a hot day but may be too cold out of the Melbourne sizzling summer - but try a massage by the pool instead.
Great Yoga classes held early in the morning with a wonderful teacher. Outdoors by the pool. An energising way to start the day. Go for a swim afterwards or walk along the beach. Massage also very good
Love the Lorne Sea Baths - comfy sun beds, great pool and great activities for kids. Reasonably priced, and has the Beach Pavilion next door for a delicious lunch - perfect!
We loved this spot, pools, skate park, trampolines, mini putput, plus a great little Cafe selling excellent food and PINTS of beer!! Wanna go back, the kids loved it and you have to see the acrobatics that some of the locals perform on the trampolines!!
it just looked so great. We didnt swim but everybody seemed to be having agood time. fantastic for kids..
My eight-year-old begged to go here lured by the trampolines and the floating dodgem cars. It looks like a resort with a small pool surrounded by lounges. But the water is freezing - except for the spa, which was lovely - and there is not a lot of room given that three quarters of the pool is taken up by kids on the dodgem boats. The whole 'experience' left me with small change from $50 - I pity parents with more than one child. Apart from the price, I just dont get it as a concept - its not really a sea baths because its off the shore - and I dont understand why you'd pay so much money when you have one of the best beaches in Australia only a few paces away for free. There is a wading pool and squirty fountain thing for toddlers so maybe its a safe place for little kids but I still don't get the appeal.
Our second visit to Lorne and on this trip the Sea Baths have had a renovation. Wonderfully designed and cleanly kept. The activities for the family are terrific with water bumper boats an aqua ball, full gym, spa bath trampoline park and mini golf there is something for everyone. The only complaint I have would be the price structure. I'm not sure why 'spectators' have to pay when not using the facilities and just watching and supervising their own children. Then there is the actual price structure for the activities. The all day all inclusive pass us well priced but if you are limited in time then the options are limited as well by the pricing. All in al I would highly recommend the Sea Baths to anyone visiting but would also warn them of the pricing.
