This is a MUST when you visit Puerto Ordaz. You can relax on the grass, take a walk on one of its many trails, or just sit and see the waterfalls.
Lovely walking trails through this park make it a must see if ever in Venezuela. When the dam gates are open, there is a wonderful display of how powerful water really is.
wonderful natural park, there can admire the natural beauty of this region, lakes, waterfalls, recreation, pleasant place to spend with family. Very beautiful I recommend it not be left to visit
Gorgeous waterfalls, great views, nice people. If you are traveling in Ciudad Bolivar don´t forget to visit this magical place.
La llovizna (means mist) is located few miles away from downtown and it's the most popular landscape of Puerto Ordaz becoming in that way a perfect encounter place. You can see many people doing outdoor activities and sometimes you can witness a bride photo session. Waterfall remind me how powerfull water can be and yes, they took advantage of it constructing 3 dams in Caroni river. Don't miss this place if you ever find yourself in Puerto Ordaz!!
Great place to see, monkeys and the waterfalls. It is a very popular place to run and walk and at weekends for families. The restaurant in the park is great
The Park "La Llovizna" founded in 1952 is beautiful place in the middle of the city, where the waterfall of the same name, which is another of the must for anyone visiting the city of "Ciudad Guayana". With an area of about 165 acres, all very well maintained, this beautiful place has one of the most scenic waterfalls in the Caroni River Basin. The many walkways, beautiful trails for pedestrians and cyclists invite visitors to go into an adventure, where nature becomes an accomplice to rest just a few steps from the city, including "Puerto Ordaz" and "San Felix." From the highest viewpoint and near the waterfall, visitors can feel the mist or fog that is produced by the sharp fall in water, action which the park is named. May see wild animals like "capuchin monkeys", "monkey widower", variety of birds, rodents, spiders and fishThe park has a medical service, cafe, train ride, exercise area, clean bathrooms, rent pedal boats, kayaks, secure parking and is guarded by state police and the Venezuelan National Guard. From the park you can see the dam Macagua II or 23 de Enero, where the water of the Lower Caroni (after use in Guri) is transformed into electrical energy. The park schedule is from 5:00 am to 4:30 pm Tuesday through Sunday. La Llovizna Falls are a very stunning site considering their in a city. very powerful falls surrounded by a green lush park.
Loved the water falls and the cleanliness. Great place to go running or biking and to picnic
It is the most wonderful natural park with waterfalls, lots of trees and some caged wild animals, funny monkeys run wild and there is a small souvenirs shop and also a coffee shop. It is definitely worth a visit and it is in the middle of the city.
I Visited this park during spring break of 2012 and i loved it! The park was about 15-20 mins by taxi from the Puerto Ordaz/Ciudad Guayana-General Manuel Carlos Piar Airport. We payed 20 bucks for the ride because we asked the driver to stop a few times before making it to the Point of Interest. The is no entry fee to the park! Its is very clean and well maintained. You must walk about a mile to the waterfalls, but in the process there are beautiful things to see: such as a small lake, monkeys on trees, you may also take a small "train" ride, play sports, exercise (with outdoors machines) etc... things to bring!! camera: sun block! and water! Restrooms were not easily found. They do have a small open to the air restaurant with refreshments, and sandwiches etc... Make SURE that you ALWAYS use Bolivares (national currency) since dollars are not accepted by any establishments. Credicards are accepted, but the park did not have any business that would take credit cards.
