This town is now a very popular place to go on Holidays and long weekends. I don't recommend stay there on dates like New years Eve and Carnival. You can get traffic, no place to park, restaurant with huge waiting times, streets full of people. And for sure you going to get hours to cross using the ferry( the only way btw). However, the place is a must to go. Try a regular time and you are going to have the time of your life. The "downtown" of the island has different and charming little stores with all sort of hand made material. Near by you can find brand names stores. Have a meal where ocean food is offered because for sure it will be fresh.Also try the ice cream brand Rochinha. It is local produced. Don't eve forget to choose a place called kioske - a store in front of the beach that sells food and drinks. So, seat there, enjoy the Brazilian hospitality and have you drink on sunset time. LOVELY!!!!

Part of the main town near the square is the Bom Successo Church - very photogenic and is a little treat into the historical side of the island.

This church is gorgeous, set on a hilltop looking down at the town. Used sometimes as a focal point of community activity, the area in front of the church is frequently decked out with lots of little flags.

this is one atraccions becouse Ilhabela is a beautifull island 200 kms from São Paulo, and have many atraccions that have to see. more than 42 beaches, 200 waterfalls, a insland near São Paulo. Many good hotels and Pousadas and a fantastic grastronomic !!

Mesmo para quem não é devoto, a igreja é um lugar interessante para conhecer em Ilhabela. Arquitetura externa da época, aconchegante e calma no interior. Da igreja se tem uma ótima vista da praça e ao fundo o mar.

A igreja fica de frente com uma praça e do mar, muito bonita e as fotos a noite ficam linda, ficando localizada no centro histórico.

Ubicada en el corazón de Vila, esta Iglesia resulta un viaje en la historia de Brasil. Muy linda y bien conservada, es el comienzo obligatorio del recorrido por Vila.

A noite a igreja fica com sua fachada iluminada em azul, belíssima e durante o dia é possível aproveitar a bela paisagem das escadarias da igreja. Como fica localizada na Praça do Centro historico é um passeio que vale a pena.

Hora de agradecer. Vá a esta igreja, é simplesmente maravilhoso, sua arquitetura e suas pinturas chamam a atenção.

Ao chegarmos lá havia um casamento e a igreja estava cheia é muito bonita ! Ficamos a uma certa distância e pudermos ver o quanto ela é bonita e muito importante para a cidade. Espero que órgãos públicos deem mais atenção para esse tipo de ponto turístico.

Divina Iglesia, con una escalinata empinadisima pero que vale la pena subir, tiene un ambiente muy calido y luminoso

Igreja bem localizada, com ares daquelas antigas, do interior. A escadaria não é muito grande, mas em Ilha Bela lembrar sempre de passar repelente, até para rezar.

Cenário bucólico, rende lindas fotos. Arquitetura da igreja é simples, mas muito bonita. A vista que se tem da Ilha do Alto da escadaria da igreja também é muito bonita. Ambiente calmo e agradável.
