Our kids played in the little river all day and we sat alongside. My husband and son kayaked. Super pleasant. Very family oriented beach the day that we were there.
We rented a boat to visit this beach. It was nice, good waves and nice fried fish but bring insect repellent! lots of bug bites.
amazing beach with river. Can reach by very rough mud road in your own car, or by boat. Good food infrastructure. Just beware of borrachudos mosquitoes
A 16km drive from downtown Ilhabela to this small and beatiful beach! Half drive in dust road. White sands, a small restaurant and little and rustic beach bars serves seafoods and cold drinks at a very nice prices. The water is clear and warm, no big waves!!! Its a little far but its worth the drive.
Beautiful drive upto the beach. Takes ~30 minutes but its enjoyable. The road is windy towards the end and when you get to Jabaquara you have to get on a dirt path before arriving at a shack/restaurant where you can park. Don't forget your bug spray!! Theres a house near the beach that sells cold beers. No food where we camped but it was a relaxing day and not a lot of people at the beach.
a very nice place to be.This is very far from downtown and you have close to 15 km of trail not asphalted to do before reach the place.Anyway nice little restaurant over there that offers great drinks (especially fruit juices done at the moment) and decent sea food.Don't leave the car (absolutely required to go there) at the parking that is a the entrance of the restaurant but follow the idications that brings you practically close to the beach parking
The beaches of Ilhabela are beautiful. As you travel around the island, you will go from beaches used by the locals, to high end tourist beaches to absolute solitude. The sand is white, the water is blue and the overall atmosphere is relaxed. Even the party scene carries a soft edge. You can just sit on the beach for hours and stare out into the ocean contemplating life with no interruptions. You can take or rent a surfboard and paddle out or snorkel. The many sailboats and beauty of these beaches is pure Winslow Homer. Want a relaxed place to forget the outside world for a while, Jabaquara Beach is your destination.
Went by offroad motorcycle, an excellent trip through forests and ending up at this lovely lovely beach, with a restaurant, music, cold beverages and perfect beach.
This is one of my favorite beaches in Ilhabela. It is located at the far north end of the island and is just breathtaking. The beach is connected with a small river, which gives you a chance to enjoy both a natural sweet water pond and the warm ocean water. The pond has rocks in it so you can lay back and get some sun while cooling off with fresh water. There are about 3 or 4 different huts to chose from for food & drinks. Come prepared with cash, not all accept cards, and also do not forget bug repellent! This beach although beautiful, is also swarming with borrachudos, the true locals of the island. The one that works the best against them is called Citronella. You can get this in any pharmacy there or buying a bottle from the locals at the beach too. One tip is if you get bitten, try your hardest not to scratch because once you do, you attract many others. I learned this the hard way and ended up with cankles! lol But as long as you're prepared for that, you will enjoy it tremendously!
This beach was perfect for us - quiet, secluded and most importantly stunning. Its a fair hike from the main town to get here but with a car its not a problem. You'll see the beach from the road first as you cross the hill - great view. Park your car past the two paid car parks - if you're early you won't have to pay for these spots. Then hike down about 300m though mango trees to get to beach. Absolutely gorgeous. When we were there there was only one other family and they had literally just got there at the same time as us (mid-morning). Water beautiful and no rubbish like some of the other beaches further south. Pack a picnic as there isn't too many options in terms of food - the east end of beach has a good kiosk, although pricey.
The setting is perfect, small and isolated beach, with a small food and beverages bar. Great views.Perfect appart form the "borrachudos", do not forget to bring your "Off"
This is a beautiful and unexplored beach in the north of ilhabela. Nice place to go, even by using car, no problem to go there by car.
Bare in mind that we drove there, I imagine that if you were getting a boat here as part of a passeio, then you may have a different view. The beach was ok. But I expected more from it. There was limited options for lunch which in itself is not an issue, but the beach does not make it worth coming by itself. Go, but only if you want a change for the day from the usual beach you have been visiting.
At the very north, this is a good beach to escape. Or if you're traveling in a yatch, and impressive place to place an anchor
Beautiful, except for the borrachudos... Unfortunately the restaurants were closed.
