Worth a look around, it's a gorgeous place for a picnic. The 1000 peso entry per person is a bit of a joke thou.
It's a really beautiful place with waterfalls and lagoons; however its better to go really early so that it's not so overcrowded; also there used to be a bridge that connected both sides of the place which isn't there now so you have to cross over some rocks to get to the other side and see the waterfalls but it's not hard to do and totally worth it! You can get there by city bus, about 30 mins away from Pucón depending on traffic (the way back is like 1 hour - 1 1/2 hours and you only have buses until 9 pm) but there are two really good beaches close by (Playa negra and Playa blanca) next to Lake Caburga; I prefer them to the main beach in Pucón because that one is always too overcrowded.
Need to be ready to hike. It may be a challenge for some folks, but some very nice sites of a waterfall , the river and the beautiful blue lagoon
Go there, take a look, some pictures and leave. Better go in the morning, when is less crowded. There are more beautiful places to see in Pucón and nearby.
A small pond with small waterfalls where 2 rivers meet. Nice trees and nice scenery for a movie gets a litle ugly when too much people gets in. Illigal entrance fee is charged (Chilenian law forbids to charge any fee to access to any river, lake or beach.... in the paper, as half of the country is run under this illegal fees even by local goverment, a web page serves for claims but only for chilenians as a RUT id number is mandatory to fill the form).A perfect place to come with children to enjoy small nature with a small walk. Be close to them as water pond is dangerous and they can drown.A nice restaurant at the entrance near the local bus stop. All buses going to Caburga lake up high stops you here at Ojos del Caburga.
As with many beauty spots, the joy is somewhat diminished by all the fences and the number of people trying to take photos. If it was quiet, it looked like it would be a great place for diving and swimming - and some locals were climbing over fences and doing bombs into the water, but this was strongly discouraged for safety reasons.Wonderful flora around the falls, including Copihue flowers and a great range of pretty trees.
Ojos del caburga is a beautiful spot... but nothing out of this world. The entry fee was modest, and there were too many people when we went..
Great place to visit, speacilly if you are want to take a rest and relax. Really near the city, I recommend to rent a bike and ride to ojos del caburga from Pucon, the landscape is awesome and you discover different places.
Nothing exceptional here but it's very beatifull, the lakes are clear and water have a nice colour. If you have the time, worths the visit, if not you can skip.
We made a stop on our way to Parque Nacional Huerquehue to rest from the trip from Villarrica, have lunch and to see the lagoons. It was a tad crowded so it was hard to get around people through the paths but the lagoons were quiet stunning. If you try and find a less crowded area you can find beautiful native species of birds and trees. It is not a place for bathing, except for some rule breakers, but you can stand close to the falls and get some fresh spray to cool down. The colour of Laguna Azul is amazing, worth walking through different trails to have a look at the water from different views. There is a great spot for lunch with cheap and good food.
Some beautiful scenery here but we were a little disappointed in that the paths down to the viewing areas were not suitable for our pre-school aged children. The paths were very steep in parts and had large drops just off them that young children could easily fall down. We had a picnic and did enjoy our time there, but we were not able to see everything because of these issues with access in some parts.
Note that there are two entrances. You see the waterfall from different views so visit both. You need to pay so keep your receipt. The walk is not difficult. It was 1000 pesos per person.
These pools are amazingly beautiful, amazing blue colour. You can't swim though and there aren't many places to sit near the pools either so you don't need to stay for long.
So many beautiful places to see in and around Pucon. This was certainly one of them. We went with a tour group and this was one of the many stops on the route. If you're traveling with a car or without this stop a must see. The water is a beautiful. And there are many photo ops.
We went there by bike. It's worth to go there mostly due to laguna azul which is close to Ojos del Caburga.
