on the road the bus stopped for an amazing foto session. The view at the ANdes is really impressive and you see in the flat country the Andes and the Mount Fitzroy as the highest mountain in the back.

This lake is nowhere as spectacular as the others in this area. It is located on the trail Laguna de los Tres to El Chalten trail in one of the many beautiful woodland stretches. Fairly sheltered, it should afford pretty photos involving reflections of surrounding terrain. Foe us it was a nice place to sit, snack and chill out!

The view is amazing once you arrive, but the hike is 10.6 miles round trip and if it is windy it can be quite cold at the lagoon. The hike is not terribly difficult except for one very short section, just very long.

The hike up to Laguna Capri is relatively easy yet quite beautiful. The trail itself is well-marked and very popular. We had great weather, so our views of Mount Fitzroy from the lake were absolutely amazing! Our photos of the lake and the mountain turned out incredible.

We stopped by Laguna Capri on our way back from laguna de los tres - while not as spectacular it is quite impressive for its sheer size. I think it was by far the largest body of water we say in the Chalten area. The camping site is also really nice - depending on how much time you have in the area you could easily go from camp site to camp site which are not too far from each other and spend a week in the area. All in all, not my favourite laguna but I'm glad we got acquainted all the same! :)

Within easy reach for good walkers (slightly harder for those not so good walkers) reach of El Chaltén. Beautiful in good weather. Probably too cold to swim in unless hardy or macho. Refreshing on the feet for a paddle.

Its not a difficult uphill, but it is certainly uphill for almost the entire 4-5 km trek to the lake.

It's a nice place to go there expecially because it's not too far in comparison to others attrections

If you are not in a position to do the famous but challenging Laguna de los Tres hike, I would highly recommend the Laguna Capri trek. For us, the weather was questionable, and we were concerned about the long distance, the hard climb at the end etc. So, we chose to do this hike and were richly rewarded by the weather gods as miraculously the clouds disappeared, the sun came out and gave us a fantastic view of the Fitz Roy from the banks of beautiful Laguna Capri. Just 15 minutes earlier, we had met disappointed hikers returning from there with shaking their heads at being unable to see Fitz Roy. Well, such is the reality in Patagonia!I recommend this hike because it is relatively easy and the path is well maintained and has minimal ups and downs. The scenery is wonderful with lots of interesting shrubbery, waterfalls, many different birds and of course the mountains. Laguna Capri itself is a wonderful destination (in case you are unable to see the prized Fitz Roy from close range). You will not be disappointed. This hike has a very high rewards-to-efforts ratio in my opinion.

We stopped by this on our way to Fitz Roy. It is a beautiful lake, no doubt about it, but it pales in comparison with all of the other awe inspiring beauty that is close by. For anybody who likes hiking it is something to stop by on a longer hike, like the hike to laguna de los tres.

This is a good addition to a hike. Either on your way towards Laguna de Los tres or on your way back towards El chalten. I wouldn't make this your final destination though.

This was a day hike up to a beautiful mountain lake. The views were spectacular. We took our time and enjoyed the day, and sat by the shore and had a peaceful lunch with a great view of Mt Fitz Roy in the distance.

An easy walk towards Fitz Roy, with lovely views over el Rio de las Vueltas to start with. Fantastic views of the Fitz Roy once arriving at the lake, The mountain's reflection in the water is just stunning.
