We had a private tour By Yaelle from Tursimo Prima Terra. She first took us to the wineryard and explained us how although the shiraz and cabernet grapes look the same but their leaf are different. She explained how wines are made and why Domiciano harvest their grapes at night. We tasted their classic and reserve wine and their grape juice as well.More details can be found on http://bishopworld.wordpress.com/
Great visit, small winery, grapes are harvested at night producing excellent wines. In the end the tour we did tasting with "picadas" some cheese, meat, crackers, sundried tomatoes and their delicious olive oil. Worth the short trip there!
We had some incredible wines in this boutique bodega - but the tour's been closed down for a while while they expand. We had a lovely tasting with a knowledgeable and fluent guide - make this your first stop.
Very good wine tour, very interesting with lots a lovely wine to taste including a sparkling wine. A boutique winery
This winery had some of our favorite wines that we've tasted in Mendoza, and the price was unbeatable. We got our two favorite bottles (one was a reserve bottle) for under $20! We wanted to bring more home, but we didn't have room in our suitcase. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.
This bodega was really the highlight of our visit in Maipú! We were greeted with a glass of cold Chardonnay before starting the english tour. The guide had a huge passion and knowledge about the wine process, also her english was very good. After the tour, we sat down at a table with a beautiful view of the vineyard. Our tasting included two reds (one Malbec and one Syrah) for 20 pesos ekstra we had an additional tasting of one of the reserva wine, which completed the experience! Domiciano is such a lovely bodega!
Their wines are just great and they presented their winery in a personal and relaxed way. They had a game where you could make your own blend of wines and compete with others, that was great fun.
Two friends and myself visited Domiciano as per the recommendation of a bike rental company and can not say enough good things about our experience! Despite it being a busy holiday weekend, we were able to have a tour guide give us a private guided tour in English of the vineyard, bottling facilities, and wine cellar. The tastings were generous (which included a glass of Chardonnay to drink as we toured the grounds, followed by 2 reds at the end), and we got to enjoy the unique experience of tasting wines from the tank, as the staff were in the middle of a tank tasting when we arrived. Our guide was the most knowledgable that we met in our long weekend in Mendoza, and spoke excellent English. I highly recommend a visit to Domiciano; It was a highlight of our time in Mendoza!
