This is definately one of the best attractions in Lviv! The lovely city hall depicts the historical view of Western Ukraine and provides us with a 15 century European architecture view. Love it.
Lviv is my favourite city. Verry good prices, a lot of monuments, cathedrals and many other place worth to see.
Huge variety of stalls around the hall with many musicians playing at different times. What a great experience. No worries about the cold with all the hot drinks available.
Lviv has many beautiful architectures. So you should see the city from high and city hall is my choice to see this charming city. Climbing is noth hard, be slow and you will okay.
It's already open (was closed for restoration back in spring) and it's simply a must do. It's about 350 narrow steps up but it's definitely worth it. Excellent views, great photos!
Nice view that makes you dreaming and relaxing after long way up. I was surprised by very loud bell when I was up.
The building in itself is very nice but the main point of interest, is the wonderful view that you have on the city from the top of the tower.
The climb is hard if you have wonky knees, but it is worth it, trust me (300 steps or so?) - you can see absolutely all of Lviv from the roof of the City Hall!
Very good panorama from the top of the building you see the whole city centre. But it is very hard to get, you have to go upstair very high.
If you go up to the chapel on the top you can see may be the best panoramic sight of Lviv. The building itself is not very interesting.
haha we climbed all of the staird up to the top tower. We were exhausted, but it gave us an absolutely amazing view of Lviv, and showed us a lot of places that we didnt have time to go to (the entry cost is about a dollar CAD)
You can climb to the top for 10 hryvnia (less than a dollar), but it is a long climb with lots of stairs and kind of narrow at the top. Not good for people who are claustrophobic or afraid of heights. The view from the top is spectacular!
As a few reviewers have mentioned, you have to go up the bell tower. For 10 hryvnia (about $1 US) you can see an unbeatable view of the Lviv skyline. The climb might be a little hard for those in terrible shape, but definitely doable for even a typical office worker. The bell may start to ring while you're up there and scare you senseless, but I guess it just adds to the allure of an old city! I'll be posting more photos to my blog www.redqueentales.blogspot.com soon if you wanted to see the view without the work of climbing up there.
a view of the whole city of Lviv. my knees were shivering the next day, but it was all worth it when i saw the scene from up there.
It is terrific. You HAVE to go up and see. Really. It's not easy but it is really worth going. Don't hesitate
