the stone mushrooms

I like the mushrooms and they are very near to Perperikon. The site is not very well preserved and no parking but still I recommend it!

I wouldn't go far out of my way to see these - once you've seen the photos that's just about it. And make sure you have the directions right. It is just north of the Beli Plast village on the through road. You can park at the roadside. Although it has a fence, there was a gateway with no gate so we just walked right in. We made sure not to touch, because clearly these are delicate. A small site, but an interesting one if you are going to Perperikon which is 15-20 minutes away. No facilities whatsoever. Barely a sign.

Very interesting rock formations. It's worth to see this place. The Stone Mushrooms are on the road near Beli plast village, Kardjali region.

They were a bit les than I imagined, and you can`t really wallk there, because they are fensed. It`s nice for pictures.

Amazing rock formation, though not very big. Great place to stop by on the way to the close old settlement/ruin Perperikon. No signposting, but not very difficult to find - right next to the road to the village of Beli Plast.

Wij vonden deze plek erg bijzonder. Het is moeilijk te vinden, maar erg apart om te zien. De vormen en stenen lijken erg onnatuurlijk, maar door dat 'aparte' een aanrader!
