这里好棒,特殊的音效,漂亮的地景设计,还有美丽的湛蓝海水~在这里我可以坐上一下午,然后拍拍裤子再去吃块奶油蛋糕.
Spent several night in this buzzing little town, wonderful ambiance day and night. Loads of historical things to see. Sea organs were fascinating loved the idea.
Sea, sun, peace and sea singing it's song. When in Zadar it's something you must see :)Been there in winter-spring time so there weren't many tourists, it was great.
This is such a great idea - and so simple - it's lovely to sit here, walk here or grab a drink at a nearby cafe and just listen as the sun goes down - really unique!
This is really an amazing experience - an organ played by the sea waves! It is located in the west part of the waterfront, close to the Greetings to the Sun. You can see the sun set on Zadar while you hear the melodious sound of the organ. Be prepare for a peaceful and unique moment.
It's nothing to say - it's all about the sound of the sea- just sit and listen, enjoying the perfect view
The sea organ on the Zadar waterfront is one of the most creative and beautiful things I have ever seen. Not exactly visually beautiful, but the sound of the organ is haunting and lovely. See it especially at sunset along with the lighted mosaic next to it. Indescribable.
I recommend to record the singing of the organs as I can guarantee you will miss it!! Its too beautiful to put it in words, and watching the sunset by the organs is magical.
Sunset and the sound made by tides through the pipes is an amazing and unforgettable experience. In summertime you can just jump straight into the pristine water of Adriatic Sea, climb back out and dray out on the warmth of the marble steps.
I had a great experience in this place. As Hitchcock said, the sunsets in Zadar are the best. The sounds of the sea organ, the way the waves create them is just so impressive. Do not miss this place.
take a stroll down the "riva" and listen to the music of the pipes, very nice experience! I am in zadar a lot and it never gets boring to just sit there and listen to the sounds of the sea..especially romantic experience if you pair it with zadar's famous sunset
When the sea conditions are right and there are not too many noisy teenagers or dance groups about the effect of this installation can be magical and ethereal. If you go in the evening you will also get the wonderful combination of the sun going down over the islands and the planetary installation behind lighting up.
This place is pretty. I went there at night at around 1:30am as I arrived past midnight by a bus from Dubrovnik and had a flight to catch from Zadar airport early in the morning. Took a walk from our accommodation (Zadar Penninsula Accommodation) to St. Anastasia cathedral and bell tower, past St. Donatus Church, the Roman Forum, and along the sea-side steps towards the Sea Organ and Greetings to the sun. It was a rather leisurely stroll. The walk took us around 30min. I can imagine that during the daytime, it'll be more packed with tourists. However, you can easily pack all these attractions into a single day, if not half a day. From my experience, nighttime is a also good time to visit this area:1. Without noises from the crowds, The sound of the sea-organ itself is clear. You can sit on whichever step you want to sit on (sidenote: there were some dodgy teenagers around, and I suspect some of them peed on the steps because there were dodgy marks of liquids). The dark also makes the sea mysterious. If I had the chance, I would like to watch the sunset there. 2. The greetings to the sun was colourful. There were only few people around, so if you are equipped with a camera with proper nighttime mode, you can take great pictures. 3. When I went (in August), there were light projections in St. Donatus Church (yes, even at around 1.30am), which was nice.
Zadar's old town is a beautiful place with the Sea Organ being the attraction that will live long in our memory. It's a brilliant idea for an art installation and doesn't require any interpretation to understand - just time (and the longer the better). My wife and I spent 4 days in Zadar in April 2014 and were drawn to end of the peninsula to enjoy the late afternoon sun and atmosphere everyday. The organ plays a peaceful melody which is almost hypnotizing at times as the coastal tide washes by and then erupts into a chaotic rhapsody as the waves rise when a boat speeds past!My wife added that it would be a great place for comtemplation but added that her head was completely empty as we enjoyed the glorious sunset and tranquility.
make sure you take your time to go around the town after you visit the organ. take a chance and roam the tiny streets, odds are you'll run into something unbelievable
