yumurtalik beach

i visited Yumurtalik in December 2014.seems odd , but i was in Adana and planned to go around , so yumurtalik was one of the close places that i visited. we arrived to the village entrance by the bus, after a 1.5 hour trip from adana.it was raining, we checked the mosque there and the green space there beside the beach that seems to be a park.then we walked through the market, where you can find some stores and cafes. there is access to the beach. i have no other details. but its really interesting in winter as well! i guess we were the only tourists there, you rarely see someone on the streets! but a walk under the rain with the smell of burning wood from houses is priceless. at least for me!

The beach is almost like most of the beaches in/around the area. Lots of people, water not too clean. Don't bring a tent or some sort of beach umbrella to protect you from the sun unless you have a local friend to mediate with the local person that runs the rental of shade umbrellas and lounge chairs. Even though you will be away from the lounges/shades you will still have problems if you don't want/need to use/pay for their services. But it is a relaxing place to stay and there are shops to buy little trinkets and such that are inexpensive and nice.

The best beach of the region. If you look for a different places. Here is the number one of Cukurova region.

Interesting place where the main attraction is Ayas Castle ruins on its beach which the locals practically built their boat marina into. There is also a small castle on an island approx. 1500ft from the beach. I hear you can get a local to boat you out to it for a small fee, but with the language barrier we did not try. Some people can swim the distance but several people have died both here and at Karatas due to strong undertows. There are Caravanserai ruins located in the center of the city and two watch towers located on the beaches out west of the city. While here we were able to find parking next to the Mosque which you can see has been converted from part of the original castle that was here. An attendant promptly put a parking ticket on our car, but this is just to track your visit to charge you a small parking fee when you leave. We paid 2TL for about 1.30hrs. Yurmatalik is a summer destination for locals. In the fall and winter months the population is low, but it triples in the summer months! To find the city can be a bit difficult if your just using road signs and not GPS, because a small village located more inland goes by the same name, and their roads do not connect.

Çukurovada okurken çok sık gittiğim Yumurtalığı 2014 yılında ziyaret etme fırsatı buldum. Beni şaşırtacak şekilde betonlaşmadan hizmet anlamında gelişmiş. Ve esnaf kendinden hiçbirşey kaybetmemiş.Öncelikle Yumurtalığı Temmuz-Ağustos döneminde ziyaret etmenizi önermem. Hem çok sıcak hemde kalabalık olabilir. Diğer aylar denizin ve sakinliğin tadını çıkarabilirsiniz. Çarşı ve sahil iç içe. Plaj uzakta değil. Balıkçı barınağındaki aile balık restoranlarında uygun fiyata balık ürünleri tüketebilirsiniz. Esnaf fırsatçılıktan uzak , samimi ve içten. Şöyle ki öğrencilik dönemimde Yumurtalıkta banka olmadığını hesaba katmadan buraya geldiğimde esnaf bana kol kanat germişti. 2014 yılında aynı sıcaklığı buldum.Belediye sahilde 1TL ile çalışan duşlar ve soyunma odaları yapmış. İsterseniz günlükte kiralayabiliyorsunuz. Sahilin kumu çok güzel Antalya yı aratmaz. Sahile yemek söyleme şansınız var kafeler çok yakın. Denizin ve güneşin tadını çıkarın , iyi tatiller.

Sahili ve tarihi eserleriyle tadına doyamayacağınız yer.Toprağın her yerinden tarih fışkırıyor.Köy içinde, ev yapmak için kazı yapılacak yetkililer olmadan kazıyapamıyorsunuz.Bizzat şahidim kazma kürek ile kazı yapıldı ve altında taş kalıntılar çıktığı için ev izni verilmedi.Sahili güzel,insanları muhabbetli şirin mi şirin bir ilçe,küçük limanında balık,kalamar ve diğer deniz mahsullerini bulabilirsiniz.Limandaki restaurantları da gayet hoş!Denizi ve tarihi seviyorsanız bu şirin ilçeye uğramayı unutmayın.

Eski ile yeni arasına çok fark var görmek gerek hatta kalmak gerek gecesi ışıklandırma sayesinde ayrı bir hava oluşturmuş. Tavsiye ederim.

Adana'nın güneydoğusunda yer alan bu plaj, tarihi Ayas Antik Kenti'ne de ev sahipliği yapıyor. Kentten geriye kalan Ayas ve Atlas kaleleri, Kanuni Sultan Süleyman döneminde yaptırılan üç katlı gözetleme kulesi, Osmanlı ve Roma hamamları kentin tarihi zenginliğini arttırıyor.

Obwohl das Dorf viel zu bieten hätte, und sehr alt ist, besteht die Skyline aus 6-8 stöckigen Häusern. Nicht gerade harmonisch. Die alte Burg wurde zu gut renoviert. Dafür hat es kleine Fischrestaurants direkt am Hafen. Sehr zu empfehlen das Kleinste mit nur 2 Tischen aussen, aber der Chef stellt dann noch ein paar hinzu. Zu erkennen am Chef der immer ein weisses Hemd und schwarze Fliege trägt.
