the story says that this asansor which means elevator in turkish was founded to help people go up the hill , and know people come here to see Izmir from high point. the view is nice but nothing to do there .

If you go to izmir, you should take a look on this Lift, it takes you to a hill and from this hill the view of Izmir is very good. There are coffee shops so you can sit back and enjoy your drinks with the view.

Well restored monument of significang historical and community added value. The restaurant serves Turkish breakfast of good quality. The key point over there is the view! You can see Kordelyo, Karsiyaka, Mavisehir, the city; even details of them! A must to see and visit in Izmir!There is a small parking close to the entrance of the building.

not the original elevator but still you can get a nice view of İzmir. There is a cafe at top so you can spend some time and look around. :There is a parking lot, you can drive your car.

Not much more to it than the views you get from there. The elevator is just a regular modern elevator with windows to the bay. Not many people fit next to the elevator to enjoy the views as other people are waiting their turn. Worth seeing, but not a must if other sites with views to the bay are in plan.

just a few minutes walk from Konak, it is strange to see a European style architecture tower leaning against a creek, within the tower two modernized elevators and on top good view of İzmir bay. I went there on a cold windy day, and got cold.... At the top level there is a cafe with still good view. Not a must go for İzmir visitors frankly but intesresting.

We thought the elevator was kept as its original model. But it was a 21st century elevator instead, and not the original 1907. The staff was smoking inside the lobby area. Our view from the top was affected by the bad weather.

It is a nice spot to look over the city. It is a nostalgic place and has a very nice view of Izmir. There is also a restaurant that I do not recommend highly :)), but you may a have a beer or coffee and enjoy the panorama view.

The most important: it is for free.It is one of the few attractions in Izmir, and it allows you to reach the upper part of the city, where you can take incredible photos of the landscape.

Asansör is a historic place where has magnificient scene of overall İzmir city and bay of İzmir. You can find very nice restaurant bar over there too.

Just 20min would be enough: go up. Enjoy the view. Take a few pictures. Come down. Done.It's worth a visit if you are nearby but probably not worth going out of your way to see it, just for a check mark in your Izmir attractions list. Majority of people coming up there take a few photos of themselves with the view as the background, some also sit down for a coffee in the outdoor cafe right next to the elevator, and that's really it.It adds to the impression if you look at this very steep slope and think that prior to its construction people there had no way of going up and down on daily basis other than some sets of very steep steps.

This elevator built more than 100 years ago, which connects two streets. Before the elevator built up, people who live there must climb many stairs every day to reach their houses. I suggest to go night time or at sunset, there is fantastic view of city, you can take amazing photos:)

The old elevator has an excellent view! In front of the beatiful view of Izmir, You can have dinner at the restaurant or drink in the Cafe/bar. Prices are not too much. Especially sunset can be watched in here and you can take photos. Highly recommended!

It WAS a nice place once it was old and authentic, the key of this place was the elevator ! In old times when you were taking the elevators it was such a experience ! You can see outside feel the old times ... Now it's gone .... Nothing about past but luxury ! They have fully renovated elevators with no sense of lightning ! You feel like you are in night club ! FOR WHAT ? come on! It's a really joke ! Restaurant up there is ridiculous too ... Forget this place ....
