The water here is just so beautiful. The water was perfect for a swim and we just din't want to get out. Unfortunately we could only spend one afternoon here.

The sea is simply beautiful! However, if you want to get into to the water, you will need to step across stones for the first few meters.

Golden sand, turquoise waters, perfect scenery, showers, sun beds and umbrellas... what more should you ask for? I just love the colour of the waters in this beach! Definitely worth swimming there!

A few pebbles to contend with here long section of beach with scrub land at the west end and a small church at the east end.Toilets Available in good order .... Canteen not open ... sun beds etc if required payable local rate,Access from main road roughly in the center of the village down a small tarmac twisting road. Ideal for the windsurfing lot when the right conditions prevail

We went to voulisma beach in Istro, which was a sandy beach to our surprise. Also the beach is serviced, so you can relax at your sun bed and will bring you your coffee.

Very beautiful sea colour, still warm water in late October, nice sandy beach. A bit of litter in places I'd say. We've only met some 10-15 people there in low season.

Just got back from Crete on holiday. So happy we found this beach! Recommended. Clean, children friendly, quiet, close to bars and restaurants.

Found this beach after visiting Agios Nicoloas for the last 12 years. Great surf the only place I know on Bay of Mirabello with surf to 6' high. Kids loved as did we all. The beach bar at the back is good value and a girl patrols the beach taking orders and delivers same to your sun bed. Will definitely be going back on our next visit. Takes about 15 minutes by car from Ag Nik

White sand, turquoise waters & not too crowded. Vulisma Beach was by far the best beach that side of the island & well worth the drive from Elounda.

The most amazing water. So clear and calm and amazing colour. Sand gets really hot in August and facilities (toilet) are limited, but we still drove there almost every day of our vacation even if for just a short swim and even though we were staying in a 5 star resort with access to 2 beaches. The views are breathtaking.I have yet to come across a better beach (Caribbean included)!

Lovely beach with what looks like complete sand underneath the waves but our son still managed to stand on the only spiny sea urchin for miles around! He was so unlucky as no-one was wearing swimshoes as there looked to be no need. The water is lovely and good fun swimming in the waves (not good for calm snorkelling). Small beach bar. 2 x sunloungers + brolly = 5euros for the day which was same on all beaches.

A real gem of a beach. Cystal clear waters and golden sand. Voulisma (Golden) beach is highly regarded for a very good reason. Excellent!

This is the most beautiful beach we found in Crete. It has a nice white sand, clean, clear blue water, small and quiet. Is perfect for those who search for a calm and relaxing place and the view is amazing.

The Voulisma Beach was exquisite and the water too clean. Lovely tavern and water sports were available until late afternoon

It's one of these Cretan Beaches made of stones, so they brought some sand to make a sandy beach, but the sandy part is quite small. Still it's quite pleasant to be able to walk on sand and not on stones.
