不错 Fira小型博物馆。我的总体感觉是,我不会错过任何东西,如果我决定不走,但...我喜欢去博物馆,所以我可能无法阻止自己,即使我尝试!
Amazing museum with incredible historical findings. I was so impressed. Very nice lined up in the museum with a historical line. Very close to the taxi and the centre of Fira.
The history of the island is kept here and if you want to understand Santorini, you should visit the Museum by all means. It's located next to the bus station and also will save you from heat in hot summer days. Amazing things are kept here! Many original frescoes from Akrotiri, from the Lost Atlantis place! The others are kept at National Archaeological Museum in Athens. When you visit Akrotiri, add this museum to your program, otherwise you will not understand what a high level this civilization had. The findings from Akrotiri are the most amazing artifacts I've ever seen in my life!
Really worthwhile doing the tour to get an idea of the way life was lived so long ago.Just hope that the funding needed to continue this marvelous facility is forthcoming.
I was so glad when they built this little gem of a museum. I first came to the island not long after the discovery of Akrotiri ('77) and you could see the tops of the pithoi peeking through the dirt and to see them now enshrined in this museum among the magnificent wall frescoes is really very special. You can imagine how it might have been. For years all the art was carried away to Athens where it was preserved (there are some still there in the National Museum) and it is nice to see a lot of it 'come home'. You must visit BOTH the site and the museum and I can't decide whether going to the site or the museum first would be best. Either way you will get a picture of this ancient civilization abandoned in situ before the giant volcanic eruption that swallowed it whole until it was uncovered by modern men. TIP: Pay attention to the opening and closing hours!!! We showed up when it had just closed and had to come back the next day. Luckily we could...don't take a chance on missing this or the site. Hours and days are varied.
Worth the short bus ride, to see the ancient site. Excavated building and town. Descriptions are ok. Tour guide would help with understanding, hire one at entrance.
Museum is small, but very informative, and there is an excellent Museum Catalog book available that has a lot of the captions and photos in it.
A very interesting Museum! In the center of Fira town, worth visiting The paintings of AKrotiri excavations. One should visit both sites!
A museum is a museum. Pictures were allowed, which is a plus for me. There was a problem with rudeness from the ticket sales person. Other than that, we enjoyed it.
We rented a car and drove for 3 days on the island . This is the best museum on the island. Had items from the prehistoric city of Akrotiri located in the southern part of the island. These were the people that lived here before Santorini blew its top .
Wish there was a guide to give more insight into the dig. The dig is inclosed so even in heat and cold it is nice
its cool because there are guides, i believe the entrance is free or very cheap, and it's indoors which makes it cool to walk around and not as hot in the summer.
This museum is amazing and it is a must for everyone who like archaeology and history. Even if you are not much into this kind of things, I'm sure you'll be greatly surprised about what you'll see there!
Being an enthusiast of history artifacts and museums, although it was a bit small, I did enjoy learning about the pieces they had on display.
This was a great museum and is a must if you also plan to visit Arkotiri. The frescos were amazing as was the pottery. I am happy that some of the artifacts remained on Santorini as I did see some of the items from the site in the Archaeology Museum in Athens.
