Nice walk to the waterfall. When you arrive, you can swim in a very small lake under it, but the water is freezing cold.
great place that is not expected to find in greek island, the inland of Lefkada island is georgous - green and authentic
this is a very nice place to visit and to get away from the burning sun. we went there at mid day when it was to hot for the beach and enjoyed the experience in the shade.it is not the most beautiful waterfall in the world, but it is worth the trip to get there. I particularly enjoyed the small bar were we stopped on our way back. it has a nice terrace around a big tree and the drinks were nice. you can also eat here a small snack.this place makes a perfect bridge between the morning and afternoon beach sessions.
A 'MUST' place to visit in Nydri. We stayed at Hotel palmyra Near the beachside of Nidri and waterfalls are almost 3 km straight ahead from the hotel. Nice scenery, high rocks and freezing cold water! For those who are adventorous there is a spot in the end of your way where you can swim.
I liked that you can go swimming in the waterfall. Haven't got any dislikes. We arrived at the waterfall just after a group of turists, and had the waterfall for our selfs, no distractions... we had a great time althoug the water was verry cold in that period.
It is pretty but not spectacular. It depends where you come from: the colleagues from Africa loved it, I thought it was just ok. If you come from a mountainous place and/or lush nature maybe it is not worth the effort.
Wasnt very well signed once you got up there, we only knew which way to go cos we followed someone else
We read a few blog posts about this waterfall before going. The climb seemed easy and short. It is quite easy and worth seeing, just to change the sea scenery if not for the waterfall itself. Don't expect a huge waterfall, it's tall but with not that much water, It is, however, surrounded by huge rocks and mountains and nice, cristal clear, cold water. It was such a great walk, we spent there about 30 minutes taking pictures and admiring the view. Definitely worth seeing once.
It is a nice sightseeing point which you can visit by the way if you're staying in Nidri, because it is only few kilometres from the town. We were here on a rainy day, but it is much prettier on a sunny day. Due to no rain in several months, the walking paths were flooded in water so it was quite hard to come through and it was also slippery, but nevertheless this excursion was nice. The visit is for free.
Unsure if the rain the week before we arrived caused any damage but pathways broken down rubbish about and very little falls to see.
This is a must to see, absolutely stunning, its about a 50 minute stroll from Nidri but well worth it, the walk itself is up towards the mountain with lovely views of unspoilt countryside to see. A definite must to go and see.
take a towel and swim wear - its a must to jump into the waterfall pool but be prepared it cold but on a hot day wonderful
Missed the heavy rain so had an enjoyable walk from the hotel up to the falls. As the end of holiday season it was quiet and the roads were devoid of holiday makers and cars...lovely.Enjoyed a peaceful sit with frappe and mythos at the 'taverna' before return walk back.If you enjoy walking and beautiful typical Greek countyside its a must.
Took a visit to the waterfalls after it had been raining for a couple of days but think its probably better early in the year when there is a lot more water tumbling down the rocks.
the walk from nidri was long but the surroundings were beautiful. \it hadnt rained for a while so waterfall wasnt as we anticipated but still worth the hike.
