这是雅典城的一片充满绿意的安静之地。来的时候是四月,花儿盛开满地——卫城、 比雷埃夫斯以及的风景实在是太迷人了。

登上山顶后真是绝赞!风景太美了,小径在眼前延伸,有种从远古时代穿越到帕台农神殿的感觉!

路程不长,也就爬15分钟的山,然后你将看到的是壮美的景色,可以俯瞰整个城市,一路上也很漂亮,你会感受到当地人每天散步是怎样一种愉快的心情,在山顶上,你可以坐下休息会,照几张城市的美景。

我永远无法制定出最佳的开始路径,所以你可以做出自己的选择,最终都能到达顶部。那里有很多人遛狗,有当地人也有游客,树木繁茂,静静地向上生长,使所以在这样炎热的季节让人感到相当凉爽。一旦在山顶,你可以拍摄到对面山上的雅典卫城/帕台农神庙。沿不同的路途下来,在你回到喧嚣的城市之前,进入那个洞和温馨的休息区。不要忘了带一瓶水,因为山上没有亭子。

这里感觉上有点儿像古代雅典娜时期的风格,这的名山非常值得游览。爬到山顶你就能看见纷呈的美景。而且上山之路是一条非常秀美,真是惊叹于古代雅典人的聪颖智慧。

Worth the hike all the way up went up for sunset and was with about six of my friends so felt safe.. Walked down at night did not have any problems.. This is a must if your around the acropolis.

Only seen before in History Books and TV, this place is magnificent. You have a nice walk uphill, but you get the reward, when you are on the top.

There are some lovely views on the hill, plus the opportunity to see the real birthplace of democracy. We enjoyed the visit and made friends with a passing tortoise at pnyx! We didn't see any robberies or experience it ourselves, though I did notice some very shady men, all sitting alone and watching us. Definitely somewhere to be extra vigilant and keep cameras etc hidden

My wife and I went on our last day 27th Feb 2015. This hill is literally across the road from the Acropolis has historical sights and stunning views across Athens. It should receive great views as should Athens and the Greek people. However, like others on here we were robbed by two immigrant men dressed in black both with knives, at approx 11am. The stole money and a mobile phone. About 5 mins before hand they also robbed a Dutch couple who we had seen earlier. This is a big hill and hard to police, the police are stretched with cuts etc and are trying to capture these men, they are aware of them but so far have sadly not been able to do so. I suspect you will be ok in groups and worth a visit if you can but please do be aware, a panic alarm might not be a bad idea and keep valuables to a minimum. Incidentally we felt perfectly safe in Athens up to that point and the city and people are great, but sadly they are suffering from a menace they are struggling to stop.

Wear your snickers and start going up to the hill. Make sure you mind your step as marbles tend to be a bit slippery, also avoid going when the sun is really hot. Excellent for a unique view of athens!

Filopappos (Philopappou) Hill offers some of the best views of the Acropolis and Athens, but be WARNED! It has become a very dangerous area even in broad daylight. My friend and I were visiting this sight during mid-morning and got mugged by a guy wielding about a 7 inch knife. He grabbed everything we had (cameras, phones, money).Later in the evening we were retelling our story to some locals at a bar. They told us that this hill is known for frequent muggings and the problem only seems to be getting worse. They also do not seem to be deterred by large tourist groups because there have been reports of these guys doing a grab and run when someone puts a bag on the ground to take photos. It is a real pity that such a beautiful, historical area is being ruined by low-lifes. I wish the area had signage posted to warn of the potential dangers of muggers. It would also be helpful if the local police setup some undercover operations to catch these guys. Travel safe!

This is a beautiful view of the city but its not worth it. If you really wish to go up and see it take a big group of people. My husband and I made it to the top and while we were taking pictures two men came at us with knives and took all our money and camera. Police said that this area is high risk. If you see people walking on this areas with no cameras start walking away. The locals were really nice and helped us but worse things could have happened. Be safe

Just got back from a weekend in Athens. First off, I want to say that I wish I had seen the TripAdvisor reviews regarding this landmark before I left for Athens (especially those rated as "Terrible"). If I had I would have avoided this place at all cost. I encourage anyone who is considering adding this landmark to your itinerary to first read all of the reviews ranked as "Terrible". There seems to be a growing problem with robbery by knife point at this landmark regardless of the time of day.Just as the others had mentioned in their reviews, my husband and I also went to Filopappos Hill as it was recommended on other websites and travel blogs as a great place to get beautiful views of Athens, the Acropolis, and the Saronic Gulf. While this is all definitely true, the potential risk and cost to see these views is not worth it. Our visit to Filopappos Hill took place on a Sunday morning around 9:30am. At the bottom of the hill in the park nothing seemed too out of the ordinary or alarming. In fact there were solo female joggers. My husband and I climbed the hill to the top without incident. Things took a turn for the worse shortly after we got up top. Just after my husband and I finished taking a few photos of the Acropolis, a man appeared out of the wooded area. He asked us where we were from and then left in the direction behind the monument. We immediately found his behavior odd and were going to head down the hill because instinctually something didn't feel right. Unfortunately during that time the man was circling the monument and on his way back to us (assumably he was checking to see if others were in the area and formulating his plan of attack and escape). The man ended up approaching us as we were leaving, pulled out a knife with about an 8" blade and pointed it at our throats. He demanded we hand over all of our money, cell phones and my DSLR camera. After he took those items, he was satisfied and ran off down the hill. We ran down the hill in the opposite direction and flagged down workers who were helpful in calling the police.

Date of incident: Sunday, February 22 9:30amMy wife and I decided that we'd make Filopappos Hill the first stop on our Sunday morning tour. After a quick tour of the base of the Acropolis we started to make our way up. At the lowest level we noticed one guard stand and a jogger or two. As we made our way to the next level we could hear barking dogs. We came upon a strange building that resembled perhaps a large dog house. There were 4 or 5 dogs that appeared to be stray guarding the area. We decided to walk back down a bit and go around the dog territory. Quick note: so many stray cats and dogs in the city.We made our way up the southeast face of the hill and saw some nice views on the way up. As we approached the summit we noticed that we were the only ones there but thought nothing of it. We set up a camera to take a picture of the Acropolis in the background. A man wearing black pants and a black jacket came walking up from the north side of the hill. He circled around the west side of the monument, south, then over to the east and pretended to be taking in the view. We walked to the front of the monument to take a couple pictures and he started making his way back down the stone path on the north side. I was facing the monument looking south and heard the quick grind of stone as one would make when doing an about-face on loose gravel. I knew exactly what that meant. He changed his mind about going down the hill and we're now targets. My wife and I recognized that this was not a good sign and began making our way down the northwest side of the hill although we had no idea where that would take us. Part of me said run but another part said to keep calm. He caught up with us and pulled out a knife with a 5-6 inch blade and said "Give me your money and cell phones" and so we did. He then told my wife to give him her camera which was a very expensive Cannon. We gave what he asked for and he took off down the southeast part of the hill.We briskly walked and then sprinted down the north side of hill to the base to the "guard" tower. We explained to the lady what happened and she wasn't the least bit shocked. As we gave her details she started completing our sentences "...with a knife?" "...looked Egyptian?" The police arrived within 5-10 minutes and we gave one officer the details. Then another came over and we gave him the details. Then another and another. They weren't surprised either.A police car came to pick us up and took us to what they called a police station. On the way we told the two officers what happened. We arrived in a back alley and the officers told us to go in the back door and up to the fourth floor where we would fill out the report. The office was musty, smokey and about as basic as possible with hardly a trace of technology. Both desks had rolling papers and packets of loose tobacco on top of paperwork. And of course we told the story again.We didn't care much about the money or the camera, we were more concerned with the data on our phones. We asked if we could use a computer to quickly change passwords. "I'm sorry, the police department doesn't have internet" she said. "It's a big problem here in Greece." I can think of another.

Whilst in Athens this is a place you must come to to see some outstanding views of the Acropolis, Lycavittos Hill, Piraeus, and on a clear day views Peloponnese.Enjoy a quiet location far away from the tourists and bask in the sun whilst viewing the ancient sites.
