Lord of the curiosities is Georg Herrmann who exploits the private museum in Lindlar, he never gets tired of telling wild stories and urban legends, and all of this in the Cologne dialect, he encourages in particular the little ones to try out of everything. The museum shows amongst other the original corset of Princess Sissi, a clock which is able to tick in the past as well as the future, the Burmese prayer wheel made of Yak bones (a gift from Reinhold Messner who visited this curiosities-museum), the many electrical orchestras which – by pushing a button – starts to make wooden musicians singing and swinging on the tones of the Beatles “Twist and shout” sound and the Cologne super duet sings Cologne songs surrounded by Hänneschen figures (Hansels). If visitors really participate perhaps Georg Herrmann will open his secret tray and will show show the razor and the chewing gum of Elvis Presley. Entrance is free of charge but a tip is very welcome and will be deposited for the children cancer foundation. PS Hard to find some parking space (PS The parkingspace in front of the museum belongs to a neighbour!!!)
