Stunning old "castle/palace". Walked around it in the freezing cold - sadly no snow. It would be stunning in the snow. apparently every few years it gets so cold the moats FREEZE over and the locals ice skate around it - now that would be AMAZING to see or do.

Nice large grounds where you can walk and spend an afternoon. Tours of the castle offered for 3 euro. Self-proclaimed Versaille of Germany - does not quite live up to its promise. Free parking and entrance.

We didn't have a lot of time to visit Nordkirchen so only had a stroll around the gardens and didn't do the visit. The building seems typical of the area in being made of a dark brick. The gardens were an interesting mix of formal areas and some less formal wooded paths. We enjoyed the visit and would like to spend more time there.The only negative things is that the web site doesn't make it clear as to when the tours are and what you see inside the building. Whilst the tours are German language only it would have been nice to have had some more information about it before committing to the tour. We were also surprised that there were no books about the schloss in anything but German. I would have thought a place that is presenting itself as the Versailles of Westphalia would have had some literature in other languages.Still worth a visit if you are in the area.

Wonderful architecture and a really beautiful building. The grounds are great for a stroll. Didn't bother with the tour inside so can't comment on that.

This 18th century palace is nicknamed "The Westphalian Versailles" as it was built in the French classical style. But the main attraction are the park and gardens that still show some of the original structures. This makes the palace a great destination if you want a leisurely walk in beautiful surroundings. These days, the palace is used as a school for finance by the government. Therefore only parts are open to the public. Entry is allowed only on Sundays with a guided tour and they don't give you much to see. I prefer spending my time outside in the park.

When we arrived we were very taken with the truly impressive and elegant gardens and grounds, in fact, we spent a large amount of our time there strolling around said gardens, as the interior had very little to offer. It has to be said that the buildings are currently used as part of a school, so it is to be expected that one cannot go inspecting everything, but the rooms that were open to the public(as long as you scheduled a tour) were completely bare! They had sold all the furnishings! This, in hindsight, is almost funny, but after a long drive, we had hoped to see some nice interiors as well. We still had a nice day, as the weather was good, but I wouldn't go when the weather isn't nice enough to spend time outside.

Hier gibt es tonnenweise Schöne Motive auch in dem Schloß Park. Alleen, Wasser, Historische Gebäude und vieles mehr. Schade nur das die Plätze nicht Autofrei sind, obwohl es genügend Parkplätze gibt

Der Garten ist sehr schön und frei zugänglich, aber auch die Führung lohnt sich, auch wenn nur einige Räume zu besichtigen sind.

Der Schlosspark ist sehr schön zum spazieren, das schloss ist ein hingucker, innen habe ich etwas mehr erwartet und das cafe ist nicht günstig.

Exzellente Ecke für eine Spaziergang in eine sonnige Nachmittag. total Genuss für die Augen und sehr entspanned. Nicht so viele Besucher, kann man in Ruhe der Blick geniessen. Ideal für eine romantische Spaziergang in zwei, aber Ausflug mit Kinder macht auch Spass. Viele Vogel die mann nah beobachten kann, sehr schöne Raum für gelungene Fotos. Wir waren nicht drinnen, die Gardens waren genung. Auch Restaurant nicht probiert, wir zogen ein Picnick vor

bonito paseo por los jardines, con un palacio de fonfo que si que ea cierto como dicen, que se asemeja a versalles. Un bonito lugar q si no te pilla a desmano, te permitira relajarte disfritsndo del entorno

Da visitare!!! Grande Palazzo perfettamente conservato e curatissimo!!! In parte ospita anche alcune aule e laboratori dell'università. E' circondato dal verde...durante l'inverno il colore più diffuso è il bianco della neve e spesso si possono vedere saltare fuori dai cespugli dei simpatici conigli...DA VISITARE !!!

Schöner Park, der Schloss wirkt zauberhaftDa gibt es ein schönes Cafe, im Sommer kann man draussen sitzen, na ja, angeln kann man da auch wohl

Ich kenne den Betreiber schon aus Lünen und habe auch ein greoßes Gemäde von ihm. Essen war immer ein Erlebnis. Meine damals 11-jährige Tochter hat mit seinem Sohn in der Dessert Küche den Nachtisch für die Eltern machen dürfen und konnte es mit Unterstützung auch. Seine Frau war auch eine Perle im Service. Wir waren öfter dort und immer zufrieden. Nach dem Umzug nach Nordkirchen ist etwas das persönliche zurückgetreten aber die Küchenleistung hat sich permanent gesteigert. Zurück zu Lünen es gab a la carte und 2 Menue und ein perfektes Kindergericht " ich will was meine Eltern wollen damals für 16,50 DM und das kind bekam das gleiche Menue wie die Eltern 5 oder 7 Gänge. Auf die Frage warum das so ist eine tolle Antwort: Wenn die Kinder es jetzt nicht lernen, da hat mein Sohn später keine Gäste. Eine tolle Einstellung und ein ebensolcher Vater. Nur weiter so.

Ein Besuch im Schloß Nordkirchen lohnt sich immer wieder. Die herrliche Gartenanlage lädt zu ausgedehnten Spaziergängen ein. Das Schloß selbst bietet ein Cafe, wo man im Sommer auch draußen sitzen kann. Ein Besichtigung einiger Innenräume ist auch möglich. Die Innenausstattung ist für mich nicht so spektakulär, eher die Außenaansicht und die schönen Gartenanlagen in der grünen Umgebung mit vielen Pferdekoppeln.
